Sleeping in is so nice.....

Yes...I've been sleeping in ALL week and it's been so nice! We are on Spring Break...silly I know...seems funny that Easter has come and gone and we are just now getting our Spring Break. We haven't really done anything because we have baseball practice and games! We had our first game on Tuesday night and they won! Great way to start out the season!

I just finised up some dolls and have added them to my website.

Happy Thursday everyone! We are off to the mall...I bought C a skateboard for his upcoming birthday and we are going today to pick it up. Maybe have a late lunch or early dinner....do something fun...as today is our only day of NO BASEBALL!! woo hoo! He's been on Xbox ALL morning and I need to get him OFF!!!!!

I have been trying ALL week to get these girls done for you...and a few for orders too! It's been a crazy week! We've had minimum days all week....and Christopher still couldn't make it through the day! Monday the hubby pulled him out early to spend some time with him.....and Tuesday I get a call to come ASAP that Christopher has fallen and hurts and can't move! I get there and he's way out in the grass on the backside of the school and the nurse is with him. He's not crying...he's just laying there....I get all the details and the nurse informs me that she wants to call 911!!!! What???? omg...I'm not freaking and I keep saying....He's not crying..he doesn't look like he's hurting!!!! So I explain to Christopher what a big deal calling 911 is....but he still insists it hurts!He said he felt something pop! So they called 911 and the paramedics were there so quick! They check him out. They were able to get him to sit up...and he did. The ambulance was pulling in at this time....and they told me that they think he is fine...that he just got the wind knocked out of him...and it probably hurt like hell when he fell and is just afraid. So I then had the option of letting him be strapped to a board and taken to the ER or I could refuse and take him myself. They felt very sure nothing was wrong...but xrays for sure to be SURE! I refused the ambulance......and it turned around right there on the black top....and we got him to the car...I called my doc and they had me take him right to get an xray. We were in and out of there the quickest we have ever been! Amazing! They called by 4pm and said he was fine! I KNEW IT!!!! He was quite famous at school for the next couple days. Embarrasing for him though. Then on Thursday...the school calls not even an hour after dropping him off that he's sick....cough, sore throat and feels like he's going to puke. Poor Nurse! Dealing with my kiddo twice in one week! We're going to miss this school soooo much! Everyone is so nice...and after being there for 5 years now, they know us by name.....middle school I'm sure WILL NOT be the same...and most likely...you DON'T want to be known by name....that might mean you're in trouble too much! LOL Anyway...he slept ALL day on Thursday...and he was fine for school on Friday. Sleep is wonderful!!!! One more week and we finally get our Spring Break! Isn't that silly? Easter has come and gone and we still don't have our Spring Break! Then right after that is Christopher's 11th Birthday! YIKES! 11 already! And he wants all his buddies to sleep over AGAIN this year so they can play Xbox ALL NIGHT LONG!

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend! I'm not sure what's going on with the weather! It was beautiful all week and today is crappy! I'm off to start some new dolls!!!!

Finally...

yes...FINALLY I finished some dolls to put on my site to get rid of them icky "sold" signs. I'm so sorry! I need more discipline! I think I need a boss to run the show!

My best friend Missy has decided to happily shut down shop over at LittleMissyPrimitives.com......so....she's having this awesome pattern sale! If you don't have any of her very cute patterns...you better hop over there and get them while you still can!!!

Trudy gave me the "You made my Day" Award.......awwww...thanks so much Trudy! I see this go around so much...and well....all the people that make my day everyday have already most likely received it a gazillion times....so ya'll know who you are!

Happy 1st day of Spring! The weather is so beautiful and I'm ready for the days when I'll be able to open all my doors and windows!!!! I miss the warm fresh air in the house! I'm sure I'll be complaining in a few months that it's too hot though!

Blast from the past.....

Finally!!!! I just updated my website! And beware....it's a blast from the past! Yes girls..that's right.....some dolls from a few years ago! And I enjoyed every minute of it! A wonderful new customer called and placed an order for some dolls....from my pattern line....and so of course...I made some extras!

I'm proud of my lil one...he received Student of the Month on Thursday!

The t-shirt they give them are so big that Christopher told me he was going to wear it to college! LOL

A quick note....

 

I'm going to be quick...as I have a ton of things to do....because my BFF Missy  will be here tomorrow...and the list of things to do BEFORE she gets here is long.....but I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I just added some dolls to my website! I worked VERY hard this week!!! I had lots of doll orders..(thanks girls) and I completed 26 dolls in 3 days!!! I'm pooped...and the house is a mess so I've got to get busy!

And the weather is icky here!!!!

She's in the mail.....

yes.....if you ordered an Annie from me...she's in the mail! All with the exception of one order went out today! I crammed and worked HARD to get them in the mail today! 3 very late nights! omg....and thank gosh my house isn't like Big Brother with video cameras....because there would have been laughter on the night that I feel asleep with hemostats in one hand...and a doll body part in the other! I couldn't believe that I was still gripping the hemostats when I woke up. I'm guessing I fell asleep for 1/2 hour...or maybe an hour! LOLOL Here is a pile I made of the dolls just before dressing them.

And here is my big bag piled high with all the boxes! These bags are wonderful to carry all the boxes to the post office!!!

Our knitting group met again tonight. I was looking forward to it all week! What a nice relaxing evening after a busy week!

Manic Monday....

Yes...the day started out crazy! My alarm goes off at 6:20.....I look over and hubby is still there in bed. What???? He normally leaves at 5:30....and thats when I get my best "almost" hour of sleep. But not this morning.....I shout...."honey"....no answer...I repeat again "honey....why are you still here? He says "what" then jumps out of bed and rushes, and I mean rushes to get ready! Then he leaves...or so I thought....as he startled me when I walked into my computer room and there he was on the computer. Again I ask..."why are you still here?". He says "car won't start". It's an issue with his ignition..and the darn computers these cars have in them now. He finally made it to work...poor guy. Not a way to start out the day! And a rainy yucky day it was ALL day! Even my friend Vanessa's day started out that way. She called and said "hey...can you pick up the boys...hubby took my car keys". I said...sure...if hubby doesn't need to take my car! So after the chaos we went to the gym for a little racquetball...which btw, we sucked at today...I totally wacked the ball right at Vanessa! oopps...right in the gutt or side! And there was an audience...a couple of fireman sitting in the waiting area...and I turned and looked and they were all laughing...as were we! So on to dolls.....I was finally able to finish a few up tonight...and have put them on my website.

I went "thrifting" today because I was looking for some knitting needles. I was making a knitting needle case for a birthday gift...and I thought it would be cute to have it full of needles...even though I know the gal has a ton too many already. I only found a few pairs...but I also found some yummy lace trim!

And speak of knitting.....a few of us local gals here have started a knitting group. Well actually Shana started it....she's a 3rd grade teacher at our school....and well we all joined! We are gonna meet 2 Fridays a month. Our first one was last Friday and it was so much fun! I'm not much of a "knitter"...about all I can do is knit a scarf...but it's fun to "stitch and bitch". We made a blog to keep the group informed. You can see it here. There is not much on it...yet!

Well I'm off to work on some pictures from a paying Photo job from Saturday night! Yes...a paying job! Woo Hoo! It was fun! Girls 13th Birthday Party that could top some of our weddings! LOLOL It actually reminded me alot of mine! The colors were very similiar! And school started....and well...I HATE it! All studio work! Yuck! Not sure how I'll do this semester....but I'll try and hang in there!

Organized?

I wish I was MORE organized! I'm really NOT...and my sewing room is a mess right now!

I recently received an email from Cindy Markovcy of Homespun from the Heart asking for my permission to use the pictures of my sewing room for an atricle that she is writing for "Beneath the Willow Tree" News. She "thinks" I'm so organized! LOLOL So she asked for some tips on staying organized. I had to tell her that I'm really NOT that neat and clean, of course I cleaned up for the pictures! But I did give her a few tips on what does help me keep certain things organized and easy to find. It really helps to keep rick rack and seam binding seperated by color and then I have bagged them up to keep them neat in the drawer. And the same with my lace....all folded up neatly placed in baggies. And the drawers...they are just those 3 drawer plastic bins that you can get at Walmart....what are they like $10.00? And they fit neatly under my built in table...I have 4 of them right next to each other. I took a couple pics of the inside of the drawers to share.

And look what I just brought home!!!! I was so excited!!! I wanted a Sizzix and I couldn't find one here in town. I started searching eBay and found some good deals on there.....but....my friend had one...and didn't use it that much because she also has a Cricut.....so she was more than willing to trade me for dolls!!!! YIPPEEE!!!! It came with 2 alphabet sets and another set that needs the adapter. And I've already purchased 2 different tag die cuts. I'm looking for the HUGE heart now!

And check out this cool tool! Guys have their tools...and girls have thier own too! This gadget punches holes through CHIPBOARD!!! I wanted the pink one...but this is the only one that they had. I got it at the local ScrapBook store..they owed me some money for my dolls......so I took it in trade. I got that and a pile of papers!

I guess I can't work tonight...the cat has found it warm and comfy in the chair that I sit at my sewing machine in.

But I did finish some dolls earlier and have already added them to my website. Here is a pic of a new one!

Guess what??? My BFF Missy is coming to see me!!! Next month! Feb 22-24! I cannot wait! We already have big plans! First of all she's coming without the kiddos! I'm so proud of her!!!! So on Friday night...I've already arranged with my friends here to go out so they can all meet! So we'll probably do Mexican...that's Missy's favorite...mine too! Then on Saturday...we are heading to Carlsbad because we signed up for Candice Carpenter's Easter Banner class!!!!! And then on Sunday...who knows what we'll do....I'm sure we'll find something....and then she leaves that night. So maybe we'll head out early and find some shopping to do, since we have to travel to the airport....we might as well make a day of it! Gotta keep her busy so she won't "think" about her girls every moment!!!!! But I understand! So I cannot wait!!!

My friends and I decided we needed a little exercise in our life, so we all agreed upon Racquetball. I played it some when I was a lil one...my parents loved it! So off we went to the gym that offers it..and they gave us a free 2 week trial EACH...isn't that cool...and well let's just say WE LOVED IT! We're very sore now...but what fun! We laughed sooo hard! I wish I had my camera with me! I had all intentions of taking it with me...but I had a dentist appointment before we were going....and I didn't want it sitting in the car. Man...I'm mad at myself now! I'm sure I'll get some good ones next time...but they won't be as funny as the very first expressions the 3 of us had on our faces!

I think that I have chatted your ear off enough tonight. I think that this has to be my longest post ever! Sorry! Tomorrows Friday! Yippee! Have a GREAT weekend!!!!

So this weekend was fun! C had 2 friends over on Friday night...they came home with him right after school! See the game room is working out GREAT! This is exactly what I want! I want the kids here...so that way when he's a teen...I KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING! Sorry no pics....C is just sick and tired of me in his face...and his friend's faces with my camera! He'll regret it!!!! So anyway...after I picked them up...we went to the grocery store because I had no "munchies" in the house! So I let them pick out lots of junk...and that they did!!!! I did feed them a good dinner...but let them eat whatever they wanted afterwards!!! How fun is that? I went to bed around 11ish....but I was told in the morning that they stayed up till 2:30!!!! I never heard them! On Saturday we were supposed to go the the snow in the mountains closest to us....but my friend called around and found out that it was all melted. BUMMER! I really wanted to go up there and take pics.....next storm I guess! Saturday night we went over a friends for dinner and played the game "Catch Phrase". It's a handheld game that you pass around. We did guys against girls! What fun!!!!

So on Friday during the day...I was working on dolls...and my TV was on...and I have my daily routine...and I LOVE to watch them Judge shows...I know....don't laugh...but I find them really stupidly funny....and well.....I recognized a name from high school.....c'mon that was 20 years ago (this summer) and how did I remember that name so clearly? Well....I remember it because her and her friend were VERY mean to me in middle school....wanted to kick my bootie on the last day of school....so chicken me didn't go to school that day...and well......I worried all summer they would kick my butt on the 1st day of school...but hello..they forgot I guess...but anyway...she went to the same high school...and well I guess didn't amount to much....because she was on Judge Joe Brown being sued by a former boyfriend for $5000.00!!!!! I guess he kept a running tab of what monies she borrowed...and her defense was that if she had known he was gonna keep a running tab of money he gave her...then she should have kept a running tab of times she slept with him to pay the debt off!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE she said that!!! Oh and I did mention she was tweakin!!! YIKES! So I just had to share that funny story!!!!

So I am off to bed....and working on more dolls tomorrow!!!

I've been working crazy.....this was my pile before I dressed them...... poor lil girls were freezing!!!

Yes...it's freezing here....well for me it is! My husband says I'm cold at 80! We have snow up in the mountains closest to us! I want to take Christopher up to the snow so bad! Missy sent me the pictures that she took of her family in the snow and I am soooo jealous! I feel like I haven't been anywhere good to take pictures! I need to get out more! But I love to stay home!

I wish I had something good to chat about with you right now...but fact is....I haven't been doing much lately other than working on dolls. Like I said...I need to get out more! LOLOL
