my 40th birthday scrap album.....

I went over to my friend Marcie's yesterday...omg... spent almost the whole day over there. I started my 40th Birthday Scrap Album! I spent most of the morning cutting and gluing all my papers to each page. But once that was done, it was on to decorating! I love the way it is turning out.

 
I have sooo many pages to finish, there are tons of pictures.....but it has to be put aside for now...I need to focus on my website.  

oh but wait, let me show you the cute Calendar that I started. I've had this blank scrap calendar for almost 2 years now, wanting to make a calendar with all my pics. Except I was overwhelmed thinking about doing all 12 months at once. Well Marcie does one also, and she does a page a month, for the month that is current. Duh. Why didn't I think of that? So I'm a little late....only 4 months late...but thats okay, my calendar will just go through till next March. no biggy.

The weekend is almost here! Christopher is going to spend time with his Grandma (on his dads side). I don't know what I'll do. most likely nothing....but I know for one thing....I won't be cooking dinners! tee hee!

Another ScrapBook moment...

omgosh...I am so excited about this little Mini Book that I just finished! The idea is from this book. My friend Sandi had it...and I just had to have it too...and I found it on ebay!

And here is mine!!! It was so much fun to make! I started it late last night and finished it up this morning!

Lately....scrapbooking crap has become quite addictive to me. I do believe that I have become more of a "collector" than an actual "do'er". But I do love to get together with friends and Scrap! I'm actually more inspired when I am with friends! Yesterday, my friend Sandi and I met up at one of our favorite scrapbook stores It's About Time Scrapbooks. We spent about an hour in there...shopping for all the fun goodies...then headed back to her house where the boys played...and we started a mini book. So much fun! She has a huge table to it's easy to spread all out! I do have to say....with not having my van...it stressed me out a bit trying to get ALL my crap over there! I have 2 of those rolling carts that I showed in a previous post...and well....they BARELY fit in the trunk of my new car! LOLOL Anyway....here are some pictures of the book that I started. I still have alot to finish, but I'm excited about how cute it is coming along.

Guess what I found out in the backyard?

NAKED ANNIES sunbathing! I hope the neighbors didn't see them! LOL Two of them are for orders...but watch for 2 new ones to pop up on my website either later tonight or tomorrow!

and.....lastly...my lil one has been buggin me for months for a blog of his own.....so today...I gave him some bloggin lessons! Right now he's just sorta stealing pics off my blog...but I ordered a new battery today for my old Point and Shoot camera so soon he'll have lots of pictures of his own..and I'm sure you'll get to see places in my house that I would never show! LOLOL Like the mess my sewing room floor always is! Or the unmade beds! yikes!

That store again......

OMG......yes! I am going to talk about that store again....The ScrapBook Corner is their name! I don't know why I didn't post a link before but I did this time....so just click on the name! And they have a blog too!

Okay..so I had to post again about them because......I won a raffle!!!! Can you beleive it!!! Me...won a raffle!!!! I won this HUGE Tote Bag FULL of goodies!!!!

I was so excited to get home to see what was in it! Tons of stuff!!!

The gal that was working the store today was just the SWEETEST!!!! She showed me and let me make her "make and take" from yesterday! The cutest card ever!!!!!

and...of course I purchased a few more things....

Cute Lil Mini Album

Remember I told you about the demo's that I saw at the ScrapBook store??? Well this is one! It was a Mini Photo Album from legal size envelopes! It was sooo cute! Their's was made up with white envelopes...but I had these red ones that I bought after Christmas on CLEARANCE! Finally...a way to use them! All I did was take 3 of them, and cut the ends (short sides) off of each side. Then I glued (or you can lick) the flap down. With all seam sides facing torwards you fold them all together at once...nice and even. I punched 2 small holes on the seam for ribbon to tie them together. Then I just started gluing away with different sheets of paper. I cut my pieces 4 1/2"wide by 4"tall. You'll need 12 different prints. I also added some torn paper to each page ontop of the first piece. And remember you cut open the ends...so you'll need like a tag to put in there...so you'll want to use a heavier cardstock...and I didn't cut all mine the same size...so just wing it there...or use already made tags. If you make your own..don't forgot to punch a hole and add ribbon to it. Then add your pictures!!!! And on the tags..don't forgot to add pics to the backs of the tags too! And then after everything is added....antique the edges of the album with a make-up sponge and brown inkpad! I had so much fun making it! I used a bunch of older pics that I had sitting around....I am going to make another one with more current BaseBall pics of C. I'm going to suprise my mom with this one...I hope she's not reading!!!!! She needs a little "pick me up" right now! If anyone makes one...send me pictures!! I'd LOVE to see! Have fun!!!!!

I almost forgot!!!! I was so wrapped up in getting my homework done so I could enjoy the weekend, that I almost blew it! I'm so sorry! I know it's late, but I printed up the names, cut them out, folded them up and put them in my old vintage colander (that I still use btw (it was my moms) ) and I pulled 2 names!

So are you ready???? for the names????? ok....here they are!!!!

I was hoping to get this pile of dolls done tonight to put on my website....but this is as far I I got. So look for them on either Sunday or Monday! I'm going out of town on Saturday. It's my nephews birthday... and get this....we're going to Hooters! He's only turning 13!!!!! We went there last year too! I got some hella funny pics of what they did to him!

They gave him BOOBS!!! It was funny! Then they made what looked to me like a elephant trunk and ears for his hat! LOL Thats alot of foil! And check out the look on my sons face in this picture below! He's on the left in red. Click on the picture to make it bigger. IT's PRICELESS!!!! It was his first time at Hooters!

Okay....I'm off to bed! I've had alot of late nights...and I'm pooped out! Don't forget about the Glitter and Grunge contest!!! It is still going on till the 15th!!!!

Make your own Library Card

This is so cool!!!! I've been seeing it around on a couple blogs, just recently over at Bailey's Bliss Blog...and I've also seen it on some chat boards and I thought I'd share it too! The one below I made for my Photography...I was just messing around. But there are soooo many uses for it! "DREAM" Pennant Banner

I whipped this up the other night and had so much fun making it!!!! Here are some close-ups of each letter.

Each Pennant measures approx 7 x 4 1/2 and the whole banner is approx 38". This is perfect for a baby girls room, little girls room or a shabby bedroom! Each Pennant has different notions either handsewn on or machine sewn on. No glue is used except for gluing the glitter on. It's sweet. Even the back is finished so if you hang it in front of a mirror it will still look nice! I haven't put this on my website yet, because I haven't built a page for my new paper art....so until I get that done, I'll let you know, if you're interested....it is for sale. $38.00 including the shipping.
