Another Month gone.....

I cannot believe it....September is over! You know...time just flies as you get older!

So...I think it's time for another Give Away! How about one of my owls? Hoot Hoot!!!! Just shoot (hoot) me a comment and I'll add your name for the drawing! I love doing these!!!! My Owl Swap has been received!!

Okay....I was VERY late in sending my Owl Swap out...but I finally did this week and Sharon has received it, and I didn't want to post any pictures until she received it...you see, I totally am all about surprise's!!!! So...this is what I made her...this is just one of them......

plus the cutest lil owl I saw sitting on a shelf at StarBucks...and then some munchies...and had I known that she was throwing a pajama party tonight...I would have thrown in MORE munchies! Back to the Owls....I was totally stumped on what to make until I stumbled across this CUTE FREE PATTERN from Robert Kaufman....who by the way has the best ever fabric! I wanted to share the pattern with you because I had the most fun making them! I made extras..Missy's already picked out hers and then I'm going to send one to my mom (cause I love her so much!). So check the pattern out!!! Make some!!! You'll enjoy every minute of it like I did!!!!

How Fun...I have been TAGGED

Carmen TAGGED me with the "Middle Name Game". How fun! Funny thing is.....I have the same middle name as her! Can I copy her? LOLOL Nah...I'll come up with my own! Here's the rules (copied from her blog):

M- Married....yes I know you knew that.....I am married...16 years this past June.

A- Anxious...yes I am ALWAYS worried, concerned or nervous! My mom apologizes to me all the time for passing that on to me.

R- Right...I'm ALWAYS right...just ask my hubby...just kidding.....really I'm right handed!

I- Intersection....are you sitting down....I had an ambulance run over the hood of my car at in intersection when I was 19......they were in the wrong...driver in training....or something like that...I don't remember...I just know that a witness said I could have NEVER seen them coming! PHEWW! But still EMBARRASING! Because I was on my way to a family event! And...get this...I was in a  Honda CRX!!!

E- EyeBrow.....last summer I waxed off the center of my eyebrow....and I have NEVER personally waxed them again...I am sooo afraid! I cried and cried....I looked like a freak show and had to go spend like $6 on an eyebrow pencil!

Now...several of you have emailed asking what I did to my back! I'm really stupid...that's the only excuse that I have! Seriously! Dumb! The other night, well Wednesday to be exact, after baseball practice, a friend and I were taking our kiddos bowling. We were in a hurry to get there.....so we could get our full 2 hours of bowling in, since we'd be paying the 2 hour rate. I was driving down this street that I don't travel down much....and it was already dark out...and well at the last minute right up on the intersection I remember

Yes....plural DIPS! OMG! I had C with me and my friends lil 6 year old....and I started SCREAMING "DIPS!!!! DIPS!!!!". Let me just tell you that my van went flying in the air....and it crashed down HARD!!!!!!!! I felt the bottom of my van hit the ground....literally! And even though there were 2 dips....I think I totally CLEARED the 2nd one! LOL When we got out at the bowling alley we were all laughing so hard....my friend said she thought she was gonna pee her pants! She said we totally flew...meaning all 4 tires were off the ground and she could see all our heads going up to the roof of the van and when we landed sparks flying everywhere!!!!!! I started freaking out thinking I might of screwed up the van.....however...everything seems to be working fine. The next morning I felt fine, but by that night....my back started hurting and every day it's worse! I've never had back pain before...other than childbirth...and it's very painful! I don't like it! I'm very thankful that NOTHING serious happened though. I keep hashing it out in my brain...and it could have been really BAD! But then to make funny of it...I think of the laughs that the people sitting at the red lights on each side had!!!! So there you have it...the story of my back pain! Idiot I am! I now drive slowly through DIPS! LOLOL

Don't get me started......

because this is what I'll end up doing all day! That's how it is when I find something that I really enjoy! So making that 1st purse last night at 11pm wasn't enough! I made 3 more today! But this time, they are made from dish towels, Martha Stewart ones!!!! Brand new of course! I found a ton of them for a really good price and couldn't pass it up...and they've been hanging around my sewing room for a while now waiting for the perfect project....and HERE IT IS! I just LOVE them! I think that I am going to keep the minty one for myself!

I've already added the Yellow one to my Etsy Shop. And now Missy is going crazy...she's making cute lil Make-Up bags!!! Oh we are gonna have soooo much fun together! I don't think 10 days will be enough! Well for me anyway! I think Christopher will be done early...because he just realized the other night that he will be OUT NUMBERED!!!! All girls! Then him. Well Bryan will be there...but mostly only at night...because someone has to work to feed us right? And pay the electric bill so we can keep the sewing machines running? tee hee!!!! Okay..counting down....19 more days till I fly out! Geesh...I'm worse than a kid!

HandMade Purse

I've been seeing these cute handmade purses all over! The ones that I see are made from vintage pillowcases...mine however is not....why...because it is the 1st one that I made, and I wanted a trial time to be on some fabric that I wouldn't regret! The fabric is vintage though..well MOST of it! The little Holly Hobby like print Missy sent to me years ago...actually, just as we met...before we really even talked! Her grandma had given her several HUGE boxes of vintage fabric and she was sorting it out and parting with it because she just didn't have the room for it! And coming from her grandma...I know it's vintage...her grandma has a house FULL of vintage stuff! Anyway, back to the purse. The ruffles are made from gingham, the orange and pink are new, green is vintage. The inside is lined with the same green gingham. The strap is new....it's pink nylon. I chose to use the nylon mainly because I had it in my "purse makin supply" box and I am in the clear out mode! And I didn't think the purse print would make a cute strap. And I didn't have enough of the green gingham. See...many reasons! The purse turned out a little smaller than I wanted it to....it measures approx 11" tall by 8" wide. And the strap is long enough to go over your shoulder and across your chest and rest on your hip...maybe! I'm gonna hop on over in a bit and put it on my NEW ETSY SHOP!!!!! Missy has been buggin me for months to set up an Etsy shop and I finally did! Missy and I have big plans to make some of these purses when I visit next month...I already have my vintage pillow cases set aside for the trip!

Happy About my FLOWERS

Look at my Zenia's! I'm so very proud of them! I DO NOT have a green thumb, so to have grown these pretty things from a packet of seeds just thrills me!

I planted the seeds way back in late March. Looked like a bunch of weeds for a while...but now...OMG...they are popping! Everyday I go out there and there is a new one! This was all Missy's idea! She always had them in her planter in front of her house...so I asked her exactly what they were and then went and bought a ton of packets! So Missy....these pictures are for you!!!!! I know you'll LOVE them! tee hee!!!!

I also finished one of my moms birthday presents....late! Her birthday was Saturday....bad bad girl I am! I saw the cutest collage on Jens, Everyday is a Holiday site...and emailed her and asked if she would mind if I could make one for my mom...and share my picture! She is totally cool about it! Here is mine, and go look at hers! Her's is much cuter!

And look what I found on Clearance at Target!!!!! The cutest ever notecards from their "Simply Shabby Chic" line. Originally $7.99 (ouch) down to $1.98 and these were all that were left...and I knew that I would kick myself if I didn't snatch them up.

LOLOLOL now.....#4 took me a while to get! I kept thinking it over and thinking it over...and i didn't understand how they were blind mice....the only thing they were missing in the words was "i".....duh....EYE!!!!!! So yup...you're blind without your "i's" LOLOL Yeah...I feel stupid now!

Only 2 more weeks of school left...I'm finding it hard to believe that I am going to have a 5th grader on my hands! And that will be his last year of elementary school. Boo Hoo! I'll cry more about that next year!

My "To Do" List

okay...I did it....I sat down and wrote my "to do" list because Missy busted me! LOL Actually I REALLY NEED to be doing this! Like Missy, I am drowning...but I've done it to myself! I just cannot seem to get with it! What the heck is wrong with me! I used to be able to do all the baseball running around and work late at night...and still keep the house clean...but all I seem to be getting done lately is the baseball running around! I've been walking  most mornings with some friends of mine....trying to lose some weight....but I guess to lose weight...you need to stop eating junk food right? ha ha! Here's me and my friends during one of our walks...I had a homework assignment of "sillouttes" so I borrowed their shadows!

ha ha...did you really think I'd show you our "sweaty" faces! Can you see what we are trying to do? The YMCA LOLOLOL Can you tell which one is me?

Oh..back to my "to do" list...anyway...I'm not a good list maker...so I just quickly made up one...and I stopped when I ran out of room! Notice only a couple things have been done! And notice the first thing on my list is to MAKE MY LIST! And I forgot to cross it off DONE before I scanned it!

However I am a Calendar Keeping girl! Have to keep up with all those BaseBall practices!

One thing that I didn't have to put on my "to do" list is my most important plans for this summer...and it's my trip to Missy's!

I go every summer! You know...she's the BESTEST friend in the world!!!! Last year...I wasn't going to be able to make it...and she and her hubby just wouldn't have that...so they sent me a round trip plane ticket! How sweet is that!!! So this year....I'm flying up there with Christopher and we are staying 10 days!!!! I hope she can handle me for 10 days!!!!! I got the tickets HELLA cheap! Round trip for Christopher and I for only $234.60!!! I couldn't drive that cheap! Not with what they are saying gas prices will be this summer! Heck, even what they are now! I drive a gas hog! So I'm totally excited!!!!!

I updated Raggedy Old Annies the other night! Put some new dolls on! Take a peek when you get a chance!

I hope everyone is having a fun and safe 3 day weekend! We are spending it at BaseBall games....seems to be our life right now! Christopher is playing in a Travel Ball team outside of his regular Spring League team and the tournament is this weekend. 2 games back to back today...Lost the 1st one, and won the 2nd one! Two more games on Sunday, and if we win both of those, we move on to Monday! Wish us luck! Here is a pic from today...I don't know what it is about the back of him with his Jersey # showing...but I just LOVE it! He was "on deck" waiting for his turn at bat.

It's my lil ones birthday today! I'm happy...and sad too! Sad because I don't know where those 10 years went! While I totally LOVE the age he's at now....I sometimes miss the baby age!

Here we are 10 years ago today

I'm sorry..this picture is horrible!!! Not only do I look like crud....but it scanned in terrible! Heck...it is 10 years old! So what did we do today? School day like normal....took him Subway for lunch, then back to school with popsicles for the entire class. Couldn't do cupcakes...they had kinda pinkish frosting...and I just knew he'd have no part of that! Then home for a bit....opened the last present I bought him, and then baseball practice, then I took him to dinner afterwards! They day just flew by, kinda just like the last 10 years!

So is the suspense KILLING you? I am soooo amazed at the response to this! I'm so excited....and I cannot wait to do this again! And I will!!!!!! So please don't be sad, there will be lots and lots more chances!

The birthday slumber party was GREAT. Wore me out though. We had some fun games....and they realized how fun it was to pop balloons and so they blew them up, then jumped on them to pop them. It was loud! Half stayed up till around 2am and the other half till 4am!!!!! I bet they slept all day Sunday!

This is totally what I should not be doing!!!! I have so much Photography homework, and it's due this Tuesday the 6th and I have orders....but...I've been wanting to make one of these aprons sooo bad! Mine is no where as cute as the one shown on TWO STRAIGHT LINES or the one that Pam Garrison made....but it is my first one! And I'm sending it to Missy....if she'll have it! Missy....Missy....Missy....is that all I ever talk about! We were just joking about this the other day! I missy her so much!

Okay..here are the pictues! EXCUSE the "fatness". I was just telling Missy that I think my new dryer is shrinking all my clothes!!!! I've been doing alot of tuggin and pullin on them lately! LOLOL Kinda funny that I blame it on my dryer huh and not all them blended Mocha drinks that I am hooked on!

So I better get off this computer! I have so much to do! I have 6 projects left for my Photography class, I have a couple orders that I need to make...I have orders to get together for the mail, and as usual, the house NEEDS cleaning. We have baseball practice today at 4:30 and that will go till dark! Then more Photography tonight as I need some night shots! I spent over 4 hours yesterday just trying to get a "self portrait". That was HORRIBLE! I've never liked pictures of myself...and I surely do not like taking them of myself!!!!!
