My mom is coming to California on Thursday!!! YIPPEEE!!! I pick her up from Ontario Airport at 5pm! I cannot wait! I get her for the weekend...then I will take her up to my brothers on Sunday....Mothers Day! It's been years since I've had my mom here for Mother's Day!

Still working on some orders...so don't worry gals...I didn't forget about you! I'm going to bed now...getting up early.....my photography class is heading out to Santa Monica and Venice for a field trip! What fun!

April Annie Give-Away

Gosh!!! Finally! And I say that because I couldn't get online last night after school or this morning! I was starting to freak out! I know I promised ya'll that I would post my doll give-away on Wednesday night...but I couldn't help it...it was out of my hands! Darn Verizon!

So....here she is.....in honor of my son's 11th Birthday...just like last year....I am doing a give-away!

Can you believe I am still alive after the sleepover? It was fun and crazy! I sent the hubby packing LOLOL I told him that he shouldn't stay here.....he had to work the next day and if he wanted any sleep he better find another place to sleep! So he did. I went to bed about 10:30 ish....and I heard lots of wild and crazy things going on...but no one came to me with any emergencies...so I just let them have fun! I think the BEST part of it was the very beginning when I picked them all up from school!!!!

I had a van FULL of kids! And they were blarring the music very loud and they were all singing! So cute! Don't worry...they all had seatbelts on...even though this pictures looks like they don't.....I took this picture right when we got home...I had totally forgot my camera...so pulled up to the house..told them all to stay put..that I would be right back!!! LOLOL Right when we got home...the Ice Cream man was coming around...and Christopher had some birthday money....so he bought everyone an ice cream. Very sweet of him!

We played a cute game of where you hide a piece of bubble gum in a plate of whip cream. I thought it would be hard for them to find the gum...but they were very quick...but....did have struggles getting the gum chewed and blown into a bubble (which was the object of the game). This is the cutest picture!!!!

But.....silly me..what was I thinking? It never even crossed my mind that when the game was over that they would shove the plates into each others faces!!!!! Silly me!

After I went to bed.....I did get up several times and check on them....half of them were asleep when I woke up at 3am. (ignore the mess)

2 were still awake when I got back up at 5:30am!!!! And one of them had to get up and leave by 7:30!!!! I woke up again at 6am and I was going to make him go to sleep...and get atleast an hour of sleep...but both were asleep this time!

I made them pancakes in the morning....started cleaning up....rolling up their sleeping bags...parents started picking up around 10ish...and I had the house clean by noon! And I still had the rest of the weekend since I did this on Friday night! GREAT decision!!!!

I finished up MOST of my orders...and they are in the mail...only a couple more (plus some new ones) and I did even put a couple of dolls on my website!

I know this post was long...and you've probably forgotten in all my rambling on that there is a give-away...so don't forget to leave me a comment!!!!!

quick note.....

Hi everyone! Yes...I survived the birthday sleepover!!!! I'll tell you all about it soon! I just wanted to pop in and let you know that on Wednesday night, I will be posting the "give-away" so be sure to come back and visit! I'm pooped out right now...it's just after midnight and I really need to get some sleep! I worked hard yesterday until the early morning hours! So I'm a bit sleepy right now! Yes...indeed it will! It's funny! I look funny! I was working on some photography homework and our subject this week is "kitsch". So this is my take on it! And I look so beautiful....NOT!

Since I didn't really want to use my picture in my class.....I'm sorta shy and didn't really want my ugly mugg plastered on the HUGE screen in front of all my peers.....so...I talked my friend Vanessa into coming over and modeling for me...and OMG!!! I love the way hers turned out! As I was applying her mask....I warned her that it might "burn a little" at first.....and she's all "GREAT...now you tell me"! I was laughing so hard I had tears running down my face! Thanks V for helping me out! I hope it's a WINNER!

I made cupcakes today.....not special reason...I just wanted them! I'm such a cake person! LOVE it! Christopher helped me decorate them...sorry for the Christmas colors...those are the only sprinkles I had! He had fun dipping them...he dipped several in all 3 colors.  Oh poor lil Christopher..he was home from school today. Both of us have sorta been a wee bit under the weather all weekend...nothing really...just not feeling normal. He had hives...again...and me well I was just sorta wore out from working alot last week. More poor ole body has a hard time doing the 1:30am bedtimes anymore. And I did that 3 nights in a row! ugh! So we slept all weekend! Literally! Jammies the whole weekend! This morning when we got in the van to take him to school...I said "wow...this is the first time the vans been started since Friday". So he did attempt to go to school...but you see..he had hives again this morning so I gave him some Benedryl and sent him with a note to the teacher that if he started to appear "groggy" to send him to the office and call me. And well...not even an hour later they did! Poor thing! So he layed around all day....I wouldn't let him play "xbox" because I'm the mean mom that says when you are home sick from school..then all you get to do is lay around and watch some tv...no playtime...no leaving the house...nothing! I'm horrible huh? I just don't want him getting sneaky and pretending to be sick!

I decided to do some cleaning in my sewing room.....and I decided that I want all my demo dolls in my sewing room...so I cleared off the shelves above my work area....and gave them all a new home! Now I have lots of girls..and a couple boys to talk to while I work! I had some in my room already.....but not this many. Christopher doesn't like it....too many eyes he says! Gosh....some of these dolls are soooo old....I was noticing the dates as I was dusting them off....have that many years already passed?

17 more days till my BFF comes to visit me!! Woo Hoo! Can't wait!!!!!

Enough playing....back to work....I have more orders...and I've been "ordered" to work! LOL I was knitting this weekend...well attempting too...and hubby asks "why are you not working?". Geesh! He was kidding.....i think....i hope....

It's Sunday! I'm right on time!!!! I said we'd pick a name tonight and we sure did!!!! Christopher helped me! Dry chewed up fingers and all! Yes..those are his little fingers...not mine...he chews on them!!! I can't get him to stop! Any suggestions?

Woo Hoo!!! Congrats to Gianna!!!! And guess what???? She's here in town!!!! Isn't that funny! And I'm working on an order for her right now to be delivered tomorrow...so that means she get's a little something extra special with her order! THANKS GALS for playing...and for all your SWEET comments! Everyone had such nice things to say! You all made me feel "extra special"!!!!!

Happy 1st "Blog" Birthday...to me.....

yes...it's true....I've been "bloggin" for a year now...is that even a word? Bloggin? I think Missy teased me about that word way back early on in the year. It works for me! So are we having a party? well...no...unless you call mowing the lawn and pulling weeds a party! yuck! Are we having a give away? Of course!!!!! How about this cute bundle of fabric....from my FAVORITE prints!

 

As I was putting them together....I thought they'd be so cute in a quilt. But check out the picture....isn't this a cool picture? Yesterday we had product studio day in my photography class and since I knew I was going to post a picture of these...I bundled them up and took them.

And.....I got some mail today! Yippee!!! As I went to open it...I noticed that it said on the back "do not open until your birthday! OOPPSSS I "almost" opened it! So I looked at the sender and didn't recongnize it...then I started thumbing through some of my past orders thinking a customer sent me something...and then I called Missy and said "you gotta help me". You see...I wanted to post about it...but I didn't want to hurt any feelings not knowing who it was. And I was right...I have no idea who it was and I could search through orders way back to 2001 and still not know! LOLOL Cause Missy had it ordered and sent to me! What a friend!!!!! And then I said..well...it's my birthday today...my blog birthday!!! How perfect was that! And I knew saying that, she would let me open it because Missy CAN NOT stand surprises or suspense and not knowing! She has no patience at all! And normally I would have waited...since I rarely get anything on my birthday...but shoot....I decided to open it and OMG....LOOK!!!

okay girls...it's the strap that she got me..not the camera! Isn't it so darn freaking cute! We saw these a few months back and I wanted one...I HATE the Canon one...it's HOT on my neck! So you see...Missy listens to me!!!!! Thanks Missy....I LOVE Ya!!!!!!

K...off to celebrate some more by now going to the grocery store....and I'm sure I have grass in my hair from mowing the lawn...but who cares....who do I have to impress right?

I received a package........

Yup..that's right...I received a package on my doorstep!!!! It was from Sharon.....my Owl Swap! She mailed it on Monday..and I received it on Tuesday (yes I know I'm posting about it a day late)! Dang....so much for the post office....hhhmmmm what are UPS rates? LOL Anyway....OMG!!! She is AWESOME! I just love that gal!!!! She spoiled me!

My mom is coming in a month or so and I am gonna have to hide that Owl Quilt from her!!!! It is sooo darn cute...and OMG Sharons work is fabulous!!! Perfectionist??? HMMMM!!!!! And how did she know that I have a thing for purses!!! Did someone tell her? I LOVE purses...and I've made quite a few myself...but none of them compare to hers!!! And the fabric choices!!! OMG!!! Could I have a yard of each one??? I hope she got those at Rosie's so I can get them when I go down there in November! And she packed the purse with goodies!!!! She's so sweet!! So loving and so thoughtful! What a wonderful friend!!!!

And guess what I did today...I made my first ScrapBook page EVER!!!!!! I don't count the stupid one I did back right after my son was born! It was horrible....cropped all my pics oval and taped them on the white page...and well.....all those pics have fallen out! LOL So I bought this really pretty chocolate brown 12x12 album from Target...and the pages are covered with clear (my old one wasn't). I saw this really cute layout in that "Creating Keepsakes" issue I mentioned a few post's back....and I had to do it! You see...my son looks just like the hubby did as a lil toddler....so I made a page to reflect that! Now..these are old pics...of both hubby and my son...my son is 10 now..and those are from when he was 2....and the pics are 30 years apart...as they are 30 years apart!

I am in love with it...so in love that I've already done 3 more! LOL And...I went in to drop some more dolls off at my local ScrapBook Store...and darn it...they got new stuff in! TROUBLE!!!!!

of course...I bought more than what's pictured...but shhhhh...don't tell!

Sorry no post about dolls today....I just finished up some orders and mailed them out...and I have a couple more orders to go. I need to thank Candice.....she posted on her blog about my Witchy Poo Annie and I received several orders because of her!!! Thanks so much Candice!!! So very sweet of you! If you are into scrapping.....you NEED to visit her blog! Her page layouts are to die for!!! If she ever comes to Hemet I'm there! Okay..back to the dolls.... I do have 3 new ones to put on...hoping to do that tomorrow....and I am working on some others! I'll let you know when I put them on!

but I didn't!!!!! There just wasn't enough hours in the day yesterday!!!!! I was rushing to finish up some orders of Witchy Poo's to get in the mail.....and then stayed up till 1am packaging them up for the mail.....and come to find out...the post office was CLOSED today!!!!!!! what??? I should have known that!!!! Mark had the day off....CLUE IN NICOLE! LOLOL

So I was gone most of the day....went with a friend to this really cool photography store! I WISH I was rich!!!! My camera is chump change to what they have there!!!! I really thought I had a screaming cool camera....till lately....and that sucks! I love my camera and all...but we all want the best out there......right????

Well......I know....you're waiting.....you want to hear who the winner is!!!!! Okay...here is all the names...folded up in my good ole colander.....the ever so famous one that was my moms forever and now mine forever.....LOVE IT!
