Can you believe it? First Missy was on TV....now her daughter Daisy made the cover of a magazine!!!! Isn't that just the cutest picture??? Both of Missy's daughters are just beautiful!!! And all 3 of them are featured inside the magazine so if you are in Sacramento...MAKE SURE TO PICK UP your copy!

It all started when Missy and her friend Tammy had a photo shoot a few weeks back with Alexandra Frankel.  The photo shoot for for "Crafty Mamma's in the Sacramento Craft Mafia". Missy told me all about the Alexandra Frankel and shared her blog with me...and since then I check out her blog on a daily basis (being the wanna be photographer that I am).  I LOVE her work! I would love to spend a day with her!!!

Time Flies when you're having fun.....

And now Missy has flown away....boo hoo!!!! But I have lots of pictures to show you!!! This could be a long post...just warning you ahead of time! We had so much fun!!! Shopping...and shopping...and well....shopping!

Here is Missy just off the plane!

C and I were waiting.....and waiting....I was so excited to finally see her coming down the escalater. When I spotted her...I started screaming..."there she is!!!!".  And look how excited she was too!!!

So after we picked up her luggage...we went shopping. Poor C! He was a trooper though. Then we rushed home....because I had made plans for us to meet up with my local girlfriends for dinner! Since I'm always talking about Missy to them....and then always talking about them to Missy...I thought it would be fun for them to meet up! We had a blast! We didn't stay out too late...as we wanted to get up really early and head out and do more shopping....LOL...I took her to Rosie's since I'm always talking about it....and we spent money there....then we had signed up for one of Candice Carpenter's classes to make a "Easter Banner", so we made our way over to Ever After Scrapbooks to shop a little before the class started. What an awesome store that was. Biggest scrapbook store I've ever been in! We spent more money there.......and then finally it was time for the class....and finally we get to meet Candice!!!!! OMG...what a sweet gal she is!!!!

We had so much fun making the banners...and they turned out so cute! I decided to spell out my name so I could hang it in my sewing room.

Missy spelled out "girls" so she could hang it in her girls room! too cute!

Isn't Missy so darn stinkin cute!!!! LOVE those glasses!!! We took turns wearing them.....and on Sunday....it was my turn to get pictures with them! They said I wasn't smiling enough....so I'll share my cheesy smile too! LOL

okay..back to normal life now! We've been out of school for a week.....and the "sleeping in" was nice...but it's over now...and back to getting up early. YUCK! I stay up way too late to get up early! and Missy...I already MISSY YOU! I'm off to bed now....maybe I'll watch a little bit of my recorded "Big Brother" before I head off to bed. Night Night!

A quick note....

 

I'm going to be quick...as I have a ton of things to do....because my BFF Missy  will be here tomorrow...and the list of things to do BEFORE she gets here is long.....but I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I just added some dolls to my website! I worked VERY hard this week!!! I had lots of doll orders..(thanks girls) and I completed 26 dolls in 3 days!!! I'm pooped...and the house is a mess so I've got to get busy!

And the weather is icky here!!!!

First let me start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone who has commented, emailed & called about Christopher! He was doing much better...that is until yesterday. No more rash...phew...but a nice little coughing cold! He went to school....and when I showed up with cookies for the class (for Valentines Day) he looked bad. He was all bundled up in his sweatshirt...and was ready to go home. We were not home 10 minutes and he was sound asleep...thanks to a little bit of Robitussin! And same today! On Wednesday he was feeling really good...and I was really behind on some photography homework, and it was a beautiful day so I "bribed" him to go out and let me take pictures of him.

Remember how I said it was beautiful outside on Wednesday? Yes..it truly was...until that evening..and this is the view from my driveway on Thursday!

crazy huh? It snowed here at my house for about 10 minutes!!!!

I just put 2 new dolls on my website.....that's it..just 2. I'm sorry. I'm trying!

I spent today tracing and cutting out doll clothes for my current orders...and some extras for the website too! Busy Doll Making Weekend going on over here! Look at these piles I have going on.....

nothing is sewn yet....just traced and cut. So what I am doing on here? I better get to work! cya!

A visit to the ER

You know how I've been talking about this "hives" issue with Christopher? Sunday was a BAD day! He woke up with them....they were quickly spreading...and by the afternoon he was covered even though I had already given him Benedryl (twice). I called the "on call" doctor and he prescribed Prednisone, he actually called it in. He then slept for a few hours....and me going in there like every 5 minutes making sure he was still breathing. By 6pm I finally HAD IT! Nothing I was doing was working, so off to the ER we went!

It took almost 2 hours before we were even called into triage. The poor lady sitting next to us, I think she was scared. It took her about an hour to finally ask "what are all those red dots?". LOLOL I kindly told her to not worry..they weren't contagious, or at least...I didn't have it yet, and my hands had been touching  him ALL day! When we were finally called to triage, they took one look at him, called in a doctor, were told to hook him up on an IV and get him in a bed. I guess they didn't want us back out in the waiting room scarying everyone! No...thats not it. Get this..turns out its NOT hives! Well this time it's not! He has a viral infection, like a cold or flu and his body is attacking it and this is what is happening! My doc explains it as uptight person who you walk up to and jab and they freak out! Well his immune system is freaking out! Poor guy!It has a fancy name....I'll spare you the details on that...because the pictures they show of it are just icky. His is bad...but NOT even as drastic as what I've seen on the web. Basically he caught a bug, most likely at school maybe a week or so ago. Everyone at school is sick right now! You can sorta see the rash in the picture above...that is after we came home. Obviously that is where his IV was. He's out of school until Thursday. Not because he's contagious....mostly because the school might think he is...and because he really just needs his body to rest and the meds make him sleepy. I just thought I'd fill ya'll in since I talk about it all the time. Let's hope it goes away quickly and NEVER comes back! I've NEVER seen anything like it!

The message is real......

I have to show you something CRAZY WEIRD! I acted like a little kid showing my friends after I read it! Last night I was taking pictures at a Cub/Boy Scout event for my friend Vanessa. They had Panda Express cater the event! YUMMY! There were "fortune cookies" at every table in the little take out containers. One of Vanessa's little ones came to the table where I was squatted down next to and asked if he could have all the cookies. I said...wait...let me have one first...I haven't had one yet and I want to read my fortune. So I cracked it open and read my fortune and about fell over!

omgosh!! How true is this? Missy will be here in 12 days! Out of ALL those cookies...I picked this one..wait...I didn't pick it..it was handed to me!!!! CRAZY WEIRD I tell you! I called Missy immediately. I couldn't talk...because I was supposed to be taking pictures and all...but I HAD to tell her!

I know that I have mentioned that I'm in a knitting frenzy before. I do not know what's come over me! Maybe because I'm cold...and it's nice to snuggle up under my warm blanket (and heater pad) and just sit there and knit. It's very relaxing! It's sorta like therapy! LOLOL I was struggling a bit...I hate to admit that...being the one that sews...but I just couldn't get down the transition from knit to purl back to knit. I kept gaining stitches! That was frustrating! The gal at our local yarn shop set me down and showed me what I was doing wrong and now I have it all figured out...well just the knit/purl thing figured out! Here are a couple dishcloths that I have made. I've heard that once you've used them, you'll never want to use the others again. Can you see the "beehive" on the top one? kinda hard to see in the picture.

And I've been quickly collecting lots of 100% cotton yarn....so I guess I plan on making lots more dishcloths!

Do you see those lil Annie's in the background??? I just put them on my website this morning! I even moved a couple over to the SALE page...so don't forget to check that out!

Look what I received in the mail this week! Trudy of Crows in the Attic Primitives and I did a lil fabric swap! She sent me some very YUMMY ones that I didn't have!!!!!

Well girls...I'm off to work...and tend to my lil one. He's not feeling good...and covered in HIVES again! Geesh...I don't know whats going on with this boy! I'll be calling the doctor 1st thing tomorrow! We NEED to get this under control!

I made cupcakes today.....not special reason...I just wanted them! I'm such a cake person! LOVE it! Christopher helped me decorate them...sorry for the Christmas colors...those are the only sprinkles I had! He had fun dipping them...he dipped several in all 3 colors.  Oh poor lil Christopher..he was home from school today. Both of us have sorta been a wee bit under the weather all weekend...nothing really...just not feeling normal. He had hives...again...and me well I was just sorta wore out from working alot last week. More poor ole body has a hard time doing the 1:30am bedtimes anymore. And I did that 3 nights in a row! ugh! So we slept all weekend! Literally! Jammies the whole weekend! This morning when we got in the van to take him to school...I said "wow...this is the first time the vans been started since Friday". So he did attempt to go to school...but you see..he had hives again this morning so I gave him some Benedryl and sent him with a note to the teacher that if he started to appear "groggy" to send him to the office and call me. And well...not even an hour later they did! Poor thing! So he layed around all day....I wouldn't let him play "xbox" because I'm the mean mom that says when you are home sick from school..then all you get to do is lay around and watch some tv...no playtime...no leaving the house...nothing! I'm horrible huh? I just don't want him getting sneaky and pretending to be sick!

I decided to do some cleaning in my sewing room.....and I decided that I want all my demo dolls in my sewing room...so I cleared off the shelves above my work area....and gave them all a new home! Now I have lots of girls..and a couple boys to talk to while I work! I had some in my room already.....but not this many. Christopher doesn't like it....too many eyes he says! Gosh....some of these dolls are soooo old....I was noticing the dates as I was dusting them off....have that many years already passed?

17 more days till my BFF comes to visit me!! Woo Hoo! Can't wait!!!!!

Enough playing....back to work....I have more orders...and I've been "ordered" to work! LOL I was knitting this weekend...well attempting too...and hubby asks "why are you not working?". Geesh! He was kidding.....i think....i hope....

She's in the mail.....

yes.....if you ordered an Annie from me...she's in the mail! All with the exception of one order went out today! I crammed and worked HARD to get them in the mail today! 3 very late nights! omg....and thank gosh my house isn't like Big Brother with video cameras....because there would have been laughter on the night that I feel asleep with hemostats in one hand...and a doll body part in the other! I couldn't believe that I was still gripping the hemostats when I woke up. I'm guessing I fell asleep for 1/2 hour...or maybe an hour! LOLOL Here is a pile I made of the dolls just before dressing them.

And here is my big bag piled high with all the boxes! These bags are wonderful to carry all the boxes to the post office!!!

Our knitting group met again tonight. I was looking forward to it all week! What a nice relaxing evening after a busy week!
