Do we have to work in this HEAT?

I repeat....do we have to work in this heat???? What work my hubby would probably ask! LOL Yeah..feeling a little guilty....I have it so rough! Actually I'm quite jealous of those of you who work outside the home! I wish I did! The pictures above I took on Thursday in this crazy stormy heat wave we are having! Temps of 113 for the past couple days! I had been wanting to take pictures of the clouds for the past couple of days...as they were such big white puffy clouds in the pretty blue sky.

So...the ONLY thing about the HIGH HEAT is that my coffee staining dries REALLY QUICK! I just uploaded my pictures to Missy for the Glitter and Grunge Update on the 1st, and Ialso put some new ones on my website too!

And remember how I told you there was a new Scrap Book store in town???? Well today they had their grand opening...so some friends and I went to breakfast then headed over there. They were giving away a gift bag of $20.00 worth of goodies for the first 300 people to purchase something...anything...even just (1) single lil paper! I really didn't think it would be crazy...as this is Hemet...but there was a line in front of the store...so they opened a wee bit early...and when we got there....the line to purchase was already wrapping around the front of the store! So we grabbed a few goodies real quick so we could jump in line to get our goodie bag. What a GREAT goodie bag! Here is what was in it!

After we made our lil purchases...we hopped on over to the "cropping" table where we were able to participate in a FREE make and take. It was a cute lil mini photo album. It was fun...kinda rushed, but still fun! Then we shopped more...and quickly got back in the line...as it was long...as we had kiddos to pick up from school. I was a good girl...I don't think I spent more than $17.00! Here is my purchase!

and the papers are double sided...and did I mention THICK too!

They have some really cool classes that I want to sign up for! And I saw some GREAT demos...one that I for sure want to whip up and show you here and give you the super dooper easy instructions and supplies....but let me tell you..by looking at the pic alone you'll know how to do it! But cute idea that I haven't seen online yet....but maybe some of you have! That is what I am going to tinker with RIGHT NOW since I am done with my updates! Night girls!

How Fun...I have been TAGGED

Carmen TAGGED me with the "Middle Name Game". How fun! Funny thing is.....I have the same middle name as her! Can I copy her? LOLOL Nah...I'll come up with my own! Here's the rules (copied from her blog):

M- Married....yes I know you knew that.....I am married...16 years this past June.

A- Anxious...yes I am ALWAYS worried, concerned or nervous! My mom apologizes to me all the time for passing that on to me.

R- Right...I'm ALWAYS right...just ask my hubby...just kidding.....really I'm right handed!

I- Intersection....are you sitting down....I had an ambulance run over the hood of my car at in intersection when I was 19......they were in the wrong...driver in training....or something like that...I don't remember...I just know that a witness said I could have NEVER seen them coming! PHEWW! But still EMBARRASING! Because I was on my way to a family event! And...get this...I was in a  Honda CRX!!!

E- EyeBrow.....last summer I waxed off the center of my eyebrow....and I have NEVER personally waxed them again...I am sooo afraid! I cried and cried....I looked like a freak show and had to go spend like $6 on an eyebrow pencil!

Now...several of you have emailed asking what I did to my back! I'm really stupid...that's the only excuse that I have! Seriously! Dumb! The other night, well Wednesday to be exact, after baseball practice, a friend and I were taking our kiddos bowling. We were in a hurry to get there.....so we could get our full 2 hours of bowling in, since we'd be paying the 2 hour rate. I was driving down this street that I don't travel down much....and it was already dark out...and well at the last minute right up on the intersection I remember

Yes....plural DIPS! OMG! I had C with me and my friends lil 6 year old....and I started SCREAMING "DIPS!!!! DIPS!!!!". Let me just tell you that my van went flying in the air....and it crashed down HARD!!!!!!!! I felt the bottom of my van hit the ground....literally! And even though there were 2 dips....I think I totally CLEARED the 2nd one! LOL When we got out at the bowling alley we were all laughing so hard....my friend said she thought she was gonna pee her pants! She said we totally flew...meaning all 4 tires were off the ground and she could see all our heads going up to the roof of the van and when we landed sparks flying everywhere!!!!!! I started freaking out thinking I might of screwed up the van.....however...everything seems to be working fine. The next morning I felt fine, but by that night....my back started hurting and every day it's worse! I've never had back pain before...other than childbirth...and it's very painful! I don't like it! I'm very thankful that NOTHING serious happened though. I keep hashing it out in my brain...and it could have been really BAD! But then to make funny of it...I think of the laughs that the people sitting at the red lights on each side had!!!! So there you have it...the story of my back pain! Idiot I am! I now drive slowly through DIPS! LOLOL

Woo Hoo!!! Back to School!

I don't know if I'm happy or sad. I already miss him during the day...and it's only been one day!  I asked him what he wanted for breakfast...and he asked for bacon and waffles! That meant I had to get up EARLIER! But hey....it's his first day of the 5th grade right? So let me show you how much he's grown up. It makes me sad to see! Unfortunately...I can't find the kindergarten picture....and I just hate myself for that....somehow it was lost in the change of computers! See....darn digital bit me in the butt! I'm MUCH more careful now!

 

OMGosh! Where is the time going? He's growing into a lil man! I told him NO GIRLFRIENDS this year! They are too distracting! LOLOL

Getting back to my schedule! I am very excited about that! I will be posting in a couple days with some new dolls.....and Glittler and Grunge updates in only a couple days!

Night girls! I'm off to bed.....my back is KILLING me and if I told you why...you'd all LAUGH YOUR FANNIES OFF!

Where Am I?

Hmm...that is a good question. Sometimes I don't even know! LOL I'm so sorry that I have been a terrible blogger! I have no excuses! But I can tell you that we've been school shopping, then there is baseball. "C" has been cleared of the toe but now has a yucky ear infection...which we flew with, then flew back home with. Bad mommy! He's on meds....and fighting me every day on taking them! I hate to bore you with "C" pictures...but to my suprise they pitched him in one of our games this past weekend! Now mind you, he spent the ENTIRE 2006 Spring Season pitching so I wasn't too suprised, but we really haven't been working him on it lately because he spent all last season (2007) catching! So here are just (2) pictures of him pitching!

Check out the tongue in the 2nd picture! I keep teasing him that he is going to bite it off! And that artificial mound.....that was different!

Okay....moving on to my "crafty world". My friend Anne found these AWESOME linens for me while she was hitting the garage sales! Dang.....did she score or what! I cannot wait to use them! The 2 bottom ones are actually handmade dust ruffles! They must have been made for a boy and girl who had to share a room! How cute!

I have finished up a few dolls and added them to my website. Here is my favorite one! I'm only giving you "peeks" of her, you'll have to pop over to my website to see her in full!

And...Missy nominated me for the "Nice Matter's Award!  She said it's because I did her laundry! LOL So many gals have been nominated for this award....so I will probably repeat them over....so they are just EXTRA SPECIAL LOVED!

Of course....Missy (my BFF) because she is ALWAYS there for me! And she put up with me and my kiddo for 10 days! Then there is Doe, she is so sweet...and I hope to meet her in person someday really soon!And Sharon, I LOVE getting emails from her! She always comments on my blog! So....C starts school on Monday...and I start school tonight for my 2nd photography class...and I also signed up for another online class that already started...so I really need to set myself up a schedule and STAY ON TRACK! So off to clean up before I head out! First days of class always make me nervous! I always HATED the 1st day of school as a kid! Oh..and C got the teacher we requested...I'm so excited! They are having a "meet and greet" Friday....that will be exciting! It is his LAST year of elementary school! OMG...where did the time go?

Home Sweet Home

As much as I totally LOVED being at Missy's......it will be nice to sleep in my own bed.......I LOVE my bed...which according to my hubbie cost $38,000.00 and the price keeps going up and up...mind you...he picked it out! But back to Missy's....."C" and I were sharing one of her daugther's twin beds...so it was SNUG! Now don't get me wrong...I absolutley LOVE cuddling with "C" but for 9 nights in a row....hmmm...the back starts to hurt a lil bit! LOL!!! Missy posted the nicest post about me today....I just love her to death! I already "missy" her so much! We've already talked lots on the phone today..and email...and im'ing too! We just never get sick of each other! She's the BESTEST FRIEND in the world!

On the plane ride home we were so lucky to sit next to the cutest lil girl about "C's" age that was traveling alone! She had been in Sac for a month at her Grandmas...and it turns out she only lives about 45 min from us. "C" and her had so much fun chatting it up.

"C" is sick......and that's just a bummer! He slept almost the whole car ride home from the airport....and then about another 4 hours once we were home settled in.

And I'm all unpacked! I MADE myself do it! I hate unpacking! So since that is outta the way..I think I will get back to working! I have a couple orders...so that is good motivation to start! I want to share with you a little make-up case that I made on the last night at Missy's. She showed me how to sew a zipper on! I didn't know how! She's so smart!!!! Thanks Missy for teaching me! I cannot wait to make more! I pinned it back so you could see the inside.

And before I left....I scored this cool Martha Stewart stuff on CLEARANCE at Michaels! I meant to share it before I left....I must've forgot! There is an accordian style photo album to decorate....3 packs of really cute covered journals....and little favor boxes with covers that I can decorate! What fun I will have!

And last...before I head off to my comfy bed....I wanted to offer up these cute cards to the first person who comments saying they want them. They are FREE! And there are I think (35) of them...if I counted right! And they come with envelopes!!!! Missy has me hooked on card making now...and so I bought some new...and went through what I already had...and well...these ones just aren't "talking to me" so maybe they will talk to one of you! Again......first one to comment that they want them will get them for FREE. Here is a picture of them!

It's going by too fast!

Yes, time is just flying away! It's crazy how time flies when you are having fun! Maybe we'd have more time to play if we didn't sleep in till 10ish though! But today I am up early..not sure why, but everyday I've been gettting up earlier and earlier!

I worked a little bit while I am here. Made a few extra Annie's while I was making one for an order. Here is just one of them, but you'll find all 3 over on my website!

Missy took me to the BEST paper store EVER! Dang....can you say trouble!

The store is called "The Paper Garden Boutique". The owner Stephanie is just the sweetest! She knows how to stock a store! I could have spent HOURS in there! And could have spent all my money in there too! So here's me...paying my bill!

On Friday night we went to watch Missy play a softball game! She's so lucky..I'd love to be on a co-ed softball team! They are so much fun! And Missy is a hoot to watch! Someone on the other team was runnin the bases, and well when he rounded 2nd, his hat blew off and she's yellin "hey..wait..you forgot your hat!".  It was sooo funny! Christopher was making bets with her that she's "strike out". Remember...he's my lil leaguer "PRO". LOL Where ever she was on the field, he was at the fence line cheering her on...or giving her a hard time!

Oh...and one last thing before I finish...I let Missy paint my toes black! LOLOLOL Christopher HATES it! Nice chubby ankles ehhhhh?

I made it......

Yes....we made it! It was such a fun and exciting day...and Christopher and I were wore out by the evening! Look at all the luggage we brought!

ha ha! just kidding! Those are the AWESOME displays that Sac Airport has in the luggage claim area! Those are the kiddos!!! Christopher (check out the mix-matched shoes ha ha....hard shoe for broken toe). In the middle is Daisy and then Gracie! Cutest little girls EVER!

So while at the airport waiting for out flight...Christopher and I did some shopping...and we found some cute sunglasses.
