It has been a crazy week! I have stayed up late every night! Thankfully I get to sleep in! I have finished up some dolls and add them to Raggedy Old Annies tonight!

 

Also, Missy has been working night and day to get Glitter AND Grunge to be just the way she imagined it! And her deadline was today, as it updates tomorrow, on the first! Everything looks GREAT!!! Go see the new look and see what we all have up for sale! And guess what!!! Glitter and Grunge now has a BLOG!!!! I've been helping her a little with that!!!!! Under the Weather.....

Yup....that's me! Feeling cruddy!!! Maybe it's because I miss Missy! She's camping, and I am not used to not seeing her online or talking to her a gazillion times a day on the phone! I started feeling this way the other morning, but last night I started sneezing and runny nose, and this morning I had to get up early (ha ha early to me since I've been sleeping in) to run over the the baseball field for my sons baseball coach and soon after that I was feeling really cruddy! And to make it worse..I think the cold is coming out through my right eye! This happened to my son one time when he was sick and it's yucky! I look like I have pink eye! I better not! We had a baseball pool party to go to today, so after returning home from that....I took a nap. Then Christopher woke me up, he said his back was itching....OMG...huge hive/welt again, this time lower back. So I gave him Benedryl, and rubbed some creme on it, then we both took a nap! How lazy am I? Okay...so I think he had the welt this time cause HE'S SUNBURNT! I'm trying to get him to let me take a pic of him showing his tan line like that one Coppertone Ad! He's not going for it though!

What?? More......

More Sewing Room Sales! And I even made a new button for my website to go right over to my Sewing Room Sales! Well..I didn't actually make the button, my BFF Missy did! She's my graphic gal!

Those are just a few of what I have added to my website. I have more...but I need to take a break from cleaning out and actually work...I have some orders. So I hopefully won't bug you for a couple more days! How is it that I can go days...wait weeks...without posting..then boom...all the sudden I have like 4 in a week! LOL

Update on my lil ones heat rash...it wasn't sooo bad after practice yesterday, but I did stop and get some All FREE laundry soap, just to check...process of elimination even though I still think it's just the heat. I'm not supposed to use this soap in my washer...it says I can only use the hi-efficiancy ones...but heck...not much to choose from...as all I've ever seen is Tide! Washed his clothes today in that...and today after practice checked him again....and alot better...but.....it wasn't as hot today. See...still thinking HEAT! Or maybe stress? He was a little freaked out the last week of school...report cards were handed out on Friday! LOLOLOL Anyway, lets hope it stays gone!

okay...it's late...like 1:44 am!!! YIKES! Guess I better get to bed so I don't sleep the whole day tomorrow! Night Night gals!

Sewing Room Sale!

I spent my first day of Summer Vacation cleaning out my sewing room! Well starting too...that is! I decided to go through my fabric first, since there was so much that needed to be put away! I've decided to clear out about half of what "was" on my fabric shelves! Above are only (6) of the (13) groupings that I have listed on my website under the button FABRIC SALE. I have one more set to list...I forgot to take the pic it. Next I'm going through my supplies and vintage goodies. I seriously just have too much! Please take a peek if you get a chance! It's all in Priority boxes and ready to go!  Quite the stack!

Finally...It's sleeping in time!

Yes....the busy last school week is finally over. I was at the school EVERY day except Wednesday. I told Mr. Uribe I just couldn't be there, I needed to take care of some things at home. After school on Thursday and Friday there were pool parties.

The kids all had so much fun! But too much time in the sun for my lil one! We had All Star practice on Thursday night....and he only made it for 20 min before he was feeling sick. Really sick.... I get like that in the heat too. But somethings going on with my lil one and I am a little freaked out! He's been breaking out in a hive like rash for a couple weeks now...and this last part of the week it's been the worst...Saturday being the extreme worst! His whole back and shoulders and front were covered in Hive welts...well actually one big welt! We gave him some Benedryl medicine and bought some Cortozone Creme, as the Benedryl creme we had been using was really doing anything. By Sunday late morning...everything was gone. I am not completely sure what is bringing this on....he's NEVER had a problem with heat, we haven't changed anything with soaps, and he's not eating anything different than ever. I'm calling the doc Monday morning!

I finally put some hair on those dolls that I showed you bald! Poor girls! Today I spent some time in my sewing room and it was quite nice.....although I think it would be nicer if it was CLEAN! I'd show you pics but I'm too embarrased on how messy it is! So anyway, I put the dolls on my website this afternoon! Since I am complaining about a messy sewing room....I'm thinking of gathering up some stuff to sell, either on eBay or my website...so watch for that posting! Last year I had went crazy buying a bunch of vintage paper straws for a project that I was "trying" to do...and well....I'm not using them! I had to have them all...I get like that...buy up all that I see...and well....I'm trying to be better now, and I really want a clean clutter free sewing room!

I'm sure many of you have been following Iva's story....but just in case, I wanted to share the link. Iva, from Iva's Creations here in California has been going through so much! Her daughter was diagnosed back in October with MDS and has been under treatement ever since. Iva started a blog about this journey. I have read it daily, along with the updates on the PFATT board. It has been a horrible week for Brianna, and I'm sad to say that she is no longer with Iva and her family. This sweet 17 year old has touched soooo many hearts! A Families Journey to Health is her blog. I feel so sorry for Iva! No words can express how I feel! My heart goes out to them!

Counting Down......

Yes...I'm counting down the last days of school!! Only 2 more to go! YIPPEEE!!! Sleeping in here I come! So....what have I been doing all week? It's crazy! My son has the GREATEST teacher....well...tied with his wife..because we had her last year....and well...since they are so GREAT I love helping out! I have had my camera in these poor kiddos faces ALL YEAR LONG! So, I made a DVD slide show for them! We are going to play it tomorrow during out party, and then I made EACH kiddo, all 31 their very own copies!!!! Man, I wish I had something like that from when I was in the 4th grade! Here's my stack! Christopher and I just finished them up.

And the Party...let me tell you about the party! We have these local "Taco Shop's" here in town..and one of the boys in the class, his dads owns one, so he is catering the party! YUMMY! Maybe that's why I really haven't eatin much in the past couple days! LOL

Remember the egg drop? What fun that was!!!! Our contraption was very boring...really not a whole lot of supplies other than that green foam we bought! But that's what worked...and that was the point right? We tried the foam in a shoe box, and the egg...and hubby climbed up on the roof....and dropped it....and it broke! So then we tried just the foam, secured shut with elastic and it worked!!! Because it was so bouncy that it slowly came to a stop other than when in the shoe box...sudden stop! It was so much fun watching the kids! After they dropped them all....I lined them all up to open one at a time so I could get pictures of each of them and the eggs! The expressions on their faces are priceless!!!!

Then they had an egg toss! I joined in on that game! Abbygail and I didn't last every long! LOL Neither did Christopher and his friend River!

 

And it's HOT here!!!! The heat just came and slapped us in the face!!!!! And melted us! And melted others too!

These "were" my candles in a chandelier that is hanging above my backyard patio table! This happened just today! Funny! And......guess what? My POS car decided that the air is not going to blow cold anymore! It's FREAKIN HOT! So I have to drive around with my windows down...my hair blowing wild and crazy and my poor kid in the back HOT! because....I have a van, and the back windows don't open up, the only pop out a wee bit! Not good!

My son made the All Star team, so we've been having practice EVERY night! And it will continue that way for 2 1/2 more weeks until the weekend of the 30th. I'm very excited for him...but it's very intense! Long hard practices!

I have some bald dollies just waiting to get their hair done...and as soon as I do, I will put them on my website! Poor girls...they've been waiting for days now! Tomorrow night!!! I've promised them! LOL

Cherries Galore!

Ok...so I head on over to JoAnns because I needed some more vinyl and a purse strap to finish a purse order that I have, and that's ALL I needed...but of course, I have to check out the fabrics. Glad I did!!!! Look at these cute Cherry Prints! They WERE NOT there the last time I was in there! And I guess I missed the sale on them! The bigger prints are from Robert Kaufman (one of my favorites)! I was good...Missy, you'll be so proud of me! Only 1/2 yard cuts on all except the bigger pink cherry print. I had a coupon so I just got a full yard. I am so guilty of buying whole bolts at time....but I really have way too much fabric to be adding more! I'm trying to clear out! But I couldn't pass these up! I just hope that I will be able to buy more if needed! Last years RK cherry prints never re-stocked! That was a bummer!

And I had to buy this BIG piece of foam.....Christopher has a project due on Monday. They are doing an "egg drop" and you have to figure out a way to protect the egg in a container so that it will not break during the drop off of the cafeteria. This should be fun! I'm going to take pictures on Monday of them doing that! But first, we need to figure it out! Hoping maybe this foam will work! Any ideas will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Oh...and did I tell you that I got an "A" in my Photography class???? I was so excited! Moving on to the next class, it starts late August. And I'm taking a summer class in Multimedia online right now, as I need that if I want to pursue this!

Happy middle of the week!!!! Oh..and we lost our playoff game last night. I was really happy for the team that beat us though! They really DESERVED it! So we are done with Spring Season baseball now.....but...Christopher is in AllStars, so we start practice for that on Monday! That will be intense! Practice EVERY night of the week for like 2 weeks straight! The games are insane...we did this 2 years ago...and my hands hurt from clapping so much, and I had no voice from cheering! LOL But it will be fun, and I LOVE watching my son play!!!!

Happy About my FLOWERS

Look at my Zenia's! I'm so very proud of them! I DO NOT have a green thumb, so to have grown these pretty things from a packet of seeds just thrills me!

I planted the seeds way back in late March. Looked like a bunch of weeds for a while...but now...OMG...they are popping! Everyday I go out there and there is a new one! This was all Missy's idea! She always had them in her planter in front of her house...so I asked her exactly what they were and then went and bought a ton of packets! So Missy....these pictures are for you!!!!! I know you'll LOVE them! tee hee!!!!

I also finished one of my moms birthday presents....late! Her birthday was Saturday....bad bad girl I am! I saw the cutest collage on Jens, Everyday is a Holiday site...and emailed her and asked if she would mind if I could make one for my mom...and share my picture! She is totally cool about it! Here is mine, and go look at hers! Her's is much cuter!

And look what I found on Clearance at Target!!!!! The cutest ever notecards from their "Simply Shabby Chic" line. Originally $7.99 (ouch) down to $1.98 and these were all that were left...and I knew that I would kick myself if I didn't snatch them up.

LOLOLOL now.....#4 took me a while to get! I kept thinking it over and thinking it over...and i didn't understand how they were blind mice....the only thing they were missing in the words was "i".....duh....EYE!!!!!! So yup...you're blind without your "i's" LOLOL Yeah...I feel stupid now!

Only 2 more weeks of school left...I'm finding it hard to believe that I am going to have a 5th grader on my hands! And that will be his last year of elementary school. Boo Hoo! I'll cry more about that next year!
