Gloomy Work Day

Today is a yucky gloomy day! It's raining! Here we are past the middle of April and it feels like winter. I don't get it! Not that I want to be in skinny summer clothes...but I don't have much warm winter clothes (that didn't shrink in the dryer)! Ha Ha! remember one of my first post's on my blog...where I was complaining that my new dryer is shrinking my clothes! It's funny! Anyway, since it's raining...I thought I share my wet & muddy empty flower bed in front of my house just begging for some pretty flowers! All it ever gets is weeds..as you can see!

OMG....and let me tell you about my 1st ever "swap" experience! It was great! I was so nervous! I have never participated in a swap before...and I've heard how much fun they are...and well Missy started one...and just added me along! LOLOL Silly her! I was paired up with Amanda and she sent me soooo much wonderful stuff! I'm feeling that the swap I sent her is pretty lame now! I should have spent more time on it! I had sooo many other ideas....and I didn't use them and I am major bummed now! Here are the goodies I recieved from Amanda. THANK YOU SO MUCH Amanda! I LOVE IT!!!!!

Now to business! Good News.....I have finished up a bunch of dolls. Bad News....only a few of them are going on Raggedy Old Annies. I had orders...and then I'm helping a friend of mine, and her daugther in their "Relay for Life" Fundraiser so I needed to get a bunch over to her as from the way it sounds...she's selling them quicker than I can make them! Here is one of the cuties that will be on my website.

Off to work on more dolls!!! Have a GREAT weekend everyone! I'm excited to say that I will get some sleep this weekend and not have a repeat of last weekend! Oh....speaking of last weekend, which reminds me of birthdays...today is Missy's youngest daugther's birthday! Daisy is 3 today!!! I cannot beleive it!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISY!

It's my lil ones birthday today! I'm happy...and sad too! Sad because I don't know where those 10 years went! While I totally LOVE the age he's at now....I sometimes miss the baby age!

Here we are 10 years ago today

I'm sorry..this picture is horrible!!! Not only do I look like crud....but it scanned in terrible! Heck...it is 10 years old! So what did we do today? School day like normal....took him Subway for lunch, then back to school with popsicles for the entire class. Couldn't do cupcakes...they had kinda pinkish frosting...and I just knew he'd have no part of that! Then home for a bit....opened the last present I bought him, and then baseball practice, then I took him to dinner afterwards! They day just flew by, kinda just like the last 10 years!

So is the suspense KILLING you? I am soooo amazed at the response to this! I'm so excited....and I cannot wait to do this again! And I will!!!!!! So please don't be sad, there will be lots and lots more chances!

First....THANKS TO EVERYONE!!! I NEVER imagined sooo many comments to my post! You ALL have made my day! Seriously!!!!

The birthday slumber party was GREAT. Wore me out though. We had some fun games....and they realized how fun it was to pop balloons and so they blew them up, then jumped on them to pop them. It was loud! Half stayed up till around 2am and the other half till 4am!!!!! I bet they slept all day Sunday!

Want a doll???? Free???

Yup...you read it right? Do you want a doll??? For Free??? I'm in the mood to "give away". These 2 dolls were made specially for the "give away". Remember I talked about it a couple weeks back? I wanted to do it right then....but was totally sidetracked! They are done...and perfect timing....as it's BIRTHDAY TIME around here! So the doll give away was inspired by my sons 10th birthday! Yup..that's right...he's already 10! Well...he'll be 10...on the 18t. Close enough! Tonight...as I am doing this...he's having a slumber party with 10 boys here...and it's crazy and loud! I have 2 tv's set up in the living room for the Xbox and Playstation 2 and it sounds like an arcade out there! I don't know if they'll ever fall asleep....I'll be tired tomorrow! Back to the dolls...here's the lil cuties below!!!!

Cake for everyone!!!

Yup!!!! I'm sharing cake!!! Which is rare for me...because I LOVE cake and am a "cake hog". The reason we had cake tonight is because it was hubbies 40th birthday! Woo Hoo big 40! I bbq'd filets...big fat baked potatoes loaded with butter and sour cream and then baked beans. Oh and a salad too. Yummy!

Also.....more celebration.....my best friend Missy won the Softies Award!!!!! This is the bear that won! What a cutie!!! I voted for her...did you?

Peek A Boo!

It's update time for the "Glitter" side of Glitter and Grunge! I didn't get done what I wanted.....and these sweet lil things were meant for my website....but they were happy to be a part of the "Glitter" group. I'm working on my GIVE AWAY!!! I wanted it to be on the 1st...but that didn't work out! This week was a busy week!

We had a school field trip this week for school. Down to Oceanside....and riding the bus with about 70ish kids was quite fun! We had the MEANEST bus driver!!!!! She basically wanted our hands in our laps! No waving...no trucker honking signals....she was taking all the fun out of bus rides! So then when another bus (same school) passed us...they were all waving and sticking tongues out as us! I couldn't believe they were lapping us...as TWICE we pulled over waiting for that bus! I was annoyed! Because the 2nd time we pulled over was on the busy freeway! I NEVER pull over on the freeway! If I had been in a car following...I would have been ticked!

Baseball is going full blown now! Our first game was rained out..our 2nd game was today (Saturday) and our poor lil boys had the first game jitters. But they did great and ended up winning!

Look at this cute Princess Annie! It was a special order from Deanna for her friend Sharon! I so enjoyed making her! ButterCup Annie makes a cute Princess! I made some extra crowns....cause I wanna make some more!
