THANK YOU ALL for all your sweet emails and comments!!! Tomorrow is a new day....however...today was a pretty good one! I worked!!! That's a lot for me lately!I know that I just updated Raggedy Old Annies last night...but I finished up a few more....and they turned out soooo cute that I just couldn't wait to put them on! You'll have to see for yourself by hopping right on over to the DOLLS section on my site!

Okay....totally off subject here...but guess what??? The "Bachelor" starts April 2nd!!!!! I can't wait!!! I love that show! Perfect timing too because The Real Housewives of the OC just ended! Christopher and I watched "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" tonight...and well he's in 4th grade..so he thought it would be funny...and wow...do I ever feel stupid!!!! So NO! I am NOT smarter than a 5th grader!

Time for night night! I hope you will keep checking back...I have a "contest" running through my mind right now! Trying to think what would be the "perfect prize". I think I will post about it tomorrow!

This hurts!

I'm feeling very sad....and very hurt. For years, I have been designing and selling patterns and have enjoyed it VERY much! I love to see gals making my dolls. But...yes..here's the big "but". It hurts when you see websites popping up that totally emulate mine. I'm not talking similiar...I'm talking every doll for sale on that website is made from my pattern line. And then comes the selling of hair and stuffing tools and fabric too.Then there pops up the pattern line..that has alot of similarities to it. I have decided to take a break from my pattern line, because of this. That didn't stop this one gal....she's pretty good at emulating the same doll without even a pattern to it.

 

Mine (on the left)  was made in January....her's(on the right) in February as stated on her blog that was brought to my attention today. And it's even for a magazine ad. Not to mention all the other dolls on her site and blog are from my patterns...even the ones she had in her graphics. I have repeatedly asked this gal to NOT use dolls made from my designs in her logos/graphics which is not allowed according to the usage which is clearly stated in each pattern.  She continues to do that and even worse.... she took the free pattern I offered here on my blog and offered it for sale...which again... is against the usage!!

I don't mean to complain... but seriously!  First the website, the graphics, the misuse and abuse, now she's even blogging... just like me.... I'm just done with it.  You don't get to burn me and not get outed on my blog... LOL!  Okay I feel better now.. thanks for letting me vent!

A little Extra

Hmm..picking out the title was hard for this one.....really didn't know what to title this...because there are several things I have to talk about.

First thing I wanted to mention is that....after years and years of keeping my pattern "demo" dolls...I have decided to part with them. Mostly because I just don't have the room to display them all in my sewing room...and I do not want them included in the rest of my house anymore. And I want to repaint...and when that shelf goes down....so do they! So....I don't want to sell them...really....what I'd like to do is offer them to my wholesale customers for my patterns! So any shop owners out there!!!!! Listen up!!!! If you know any....share this with them! This is a FIRST COME basis...as these are the original "demo dolls" and I will not remake any! Okay...purchase 12 patterns of the same pattern at wholesale price ($4.00 each) and I will include the demo doll!!!!! Patterns sell REALLY GREAT in shops when there is a demo doll present! Some of the patterns have 2 dolls in the pic...so yes...you would get both for that pattern. Does this make any sense? Do you have any questions???? Please EMAIL ME if you do! Here are the patterns included in this.....not all of them yet.... and remember...some of these have been around here for a few years...but they were all displayed in my home which is smoke free.

And....well...lastly....I wanted to clear up and make sure that every understood that the directions stated for my FREE BUNNY PATTERN that it was for personal use...and not to be made for "sale". Two auctions have been brought to my attention...and that really bothers me, that I would offer something for free and this person takes it, makes it, not even thanks me for it and makes profit off of it...and REALLY sad part is....no credit was even given to me. hhmmm...I am amazed on how little people think of others feelings these days. Okay enough....I don't want to be a downer!

These Bunnies turned out so cute! I had so much fun making them, and I hope you do too! I know it's a little close to Easter...but there is still some time for you to get one made up for your Spring/Easter decorating! I took lots and lots of pics while I was working on them!

This was fun!

This is totally what I should not be doing!!!! I have so much Photography homework, and it's due this Tuesday the 6th and I have orders....but...I've been wanting to make one of these aprons sooo bad! Mine is no where as cute as the one shown on TWO STRAIGHT LINES or the one that Pam Garrison made....but it is my first one! And I'm sending it to Missy....if she'll have it! Missy....Missy....Missy....is that all I ever talk about! We were just joking about this the other day! I missy her so much!

Okay..here are the pictues! EXCUSE the "fatness". I was just telling Missy that I think my new dryer is shrinking all my clothes!!!! I've been doing alot of tuggin and pullin on them lately! LOLOL Kinda funny that I blame it on my dryer huh and not all them blended Mocha drinks that I am hooked on!

So I better get off this computer! I have so much to do! I have 6 projects left for my Photography class, I have a couple orders that I need to make...I have orders to get together for the mail, and as usual, the house NEEDS cleaning. We have baseball practice today at 4:30 and that will go till dark! Then more Photography tonight as I need some night shots! I spent over 4 hours yesterday just trying to get a "self portrait". That was HORRIBLE! I've never liked pictures of myself...and I surely do not like taking them of myself!!!!!

I need some help!

Ok Girls....I really need help! I need the fabric that I am "clearancing" GONE! The bolts do not have a home in my sewing room anymore!!!! So I keep having to move them around! UGH! Update on painting my laundry room-

4 year old paint seperates the colors

Stirring the old paint while scrapping the sides adds lil bumpy scraps to it

Trying to match up the same color from a different store will not happen

Painting stinks...and now my house does too!

and...I am a terrible messy painter..which explains why only 3 of my rooms in my house are actually  painted! 2 my mom helped on..and they are beautiful...and the 3rd is my sons room....and it's horrible! Note to those who don't like to paint...never paint a wall RED! LOL

Pictures of my laundry room will come soon...when I can put everything back...I want to give the counter and shelf a good 3 days of drying!!!!!

It's UPDATE time again!

Good morning everyone! I cannot believe that it is the first of March ALREADY!!! Where does time go!!!!! Baseball season is just starting for us....practices should start any day now! For anyone interested.....some of you Little League moms out there....I have started a blog to tract our baseball season! It's a brand new blog....so there is not a whole lot on there yet....but give it time. Finding a name was the hard part!!!!! I am not good with names! But after GoDaddy rejected all the ones I wanted (saying they were already taken) I finally came up with SnapThatPic . I really LIKE it...wait no I LOVE it! It's catchy! One of the main reasons I did this was to get started on my photography. And we sponsored our sons team this year...so out on the field I will have banner with NicoleEllison.com on it! Right now that .com goes to my website...but I plan on changing it as soon as baseball starts.

Also I wanted to show you something that I am addicted too!!!! Mostly because it's relaxing...and I just cannot seem to put it down! Knitting!!!! YIKES I never thought I would knit! But I LOVE it! I have started and pulled out soooo many scarfs...but I finally finished one....and I sent it to Missy! Seems right that my BEST FRIEND would get my first finished project right? She looks so cute in it!!!! Gracie and Daisy want matching ones..so I better get started before it warms up!!!!!

 

Okay...back to updates...being that it's the 1st of the month...the Glitter side of Glitter & Grunge updated today! YIPPEE!! Lots of cute new things!!!! Missy's bears are really cute!!!!! Love them!!! But a little part (really big part) of me really misses her making dolls!!!!!! She keeps sending me all her doll stuff....well stuff and customers too!!!!! LOL She's cracking me up!

Sorry so long!!!! I just love to ramble on! When I'm on the phone...my hubby will  sometimes ask if the person on the other end ever got a word in...so I guess I'm the same on here! LOL

I am off to paint a workspace that I made over my NEW WASHER and DRYER! Gotta love them front loaders!!!! Gives you work space on top! So I made a counter like area and shelf. The counter area is GREAT for folding laundry but my main purpose of it was for painting my doll legs! I post a pic when its all painted. Bye for now!
