LOOK at what I found!!! I popped into one of my favorite Thrift Stores today and snatched these up!!! What GREAT colors! I am sooo tickled to have found these. The gal that works at the store said she bought some when they first came in...how dare her! I want them! I cannot wait to use them....I hope I use them! I have this bad habit of hanging on to my "favorite" stuff afraid of using it, afraid I'll never find it again!

So my "local" girlfriends and I have started knitting. That is something that I have never done...never learned. I have to say it's quite relaxing. Don't know if I'll ever make anything from it, but it is really nice to sit down and knit. It was really funny....because here I am the "crafty" one of the bunch...and I couldn't get it!!!! I was having so much trouble...and they were all knitting away...and kept having to help me! LOLOL !!!!! Look at this cute basket cover that I made for this cute lil red basket. Great to hold all my knitting stuff!

Expect to see alot of dolls in the coming weeks...I NEED to work really hard!!!! My washing machine just died!!!!! We've been having alot of problems with it for months now....and it will not spin the loads....and we'd have to jiggle the handle..push in on it a little here and there...and well....it just WILL NOT SPIN now! It's older than my son and he's to be 10 in April....so I guess it's time! And well...since my washers and dryers keep breaking opposite of each other...I've NEVER had a matching set...and they are that bone color...or I think "bisquit" is the proper name now! So.... I have decided that I am buying a matching set! I wanted to....then talked myself out of it but while searching for one that would match my dryer...well.....hmmmm not much choice! So hubby said...do it...get what you want! So I'm getting WHITE front loading ones....without the pedestals because I want to put a counter top over them for a work space and  well...to fold the laundry too! I'm excited to finally get a new set...but HATE spending money! I am not a spender!!!! It totally FREAKS and STRESSES me out!

Oh and my Photography class is going well!!! Alot more than I ever expected it would be! Still a wee bit overwhelmed!!!!

This is my newest.....meet Mary Anne. Her and a few others have been added to Raggedy Old Annies today! I've been busy today, making some adjustments to my website. You may not even notice them. But I'll tell you! I have given my Clearance Fabric a new page so that you can see them all. And same with the fabric that is not clearanced. And my patterns......I decided to use the Pattern Pages in my website for which they were designed for...PATTERNS! So they are all now together, condensed down to 6 pages. You can see 12 per page now instead of 7!!!! I love the new look! But like I said...some of you may not even notice! And....there is still a little bit of the wool hair left that I am clearancing out! I even have some red raw wool, but I will put that on there on Sunday. Don't forget about those Orphans....there are still some looking for a loving home!

Look at these cute baskets and boxes that I found this week! Great for organizing my sewing room! The bottom one has 2 more inside of it! They have all found their place already in my room. When I get it all cleaned up, I'll put new pictures in my Photo Album of my sewing room.

I was trying to think of a song they used to sing when I worked at Mimi's Cafe (way back when) but this is all I could remember. And mind you, I'm not a singer! So just pretend me singing! So yes...it's her big 30th birthday. I hope she gets her present from me today! It was something that I saw, and it just reminded me sooo much of her! Not sure why..it just did! If I lived in the same town....we'd be having lunch together with the kiddos....but I'm not even close.....as we live almost 8 hours apart! I was nice posting this cute picture...I could have been mean...I've been teasing her for a month telling her I was gonna post a "certain" picture...and she knows which one I am talking about. Okay..that's it for today...just wanted to WISH THE BIRTHDAY GIRL a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! If you wanna wish Missy a Happy Birthday too...you can hop on over to Crafty Carnival!

New Cuties for you!

Last night I had some quiet time......my son was over at a friends house....so I played in my sewing room, cleaning it up a bit and finishing up these lil cuties that had no hair. This morning before I headed out for some shopping....I put them on my website. There are a couple Valentine ones....and they are cute...and ButterCup Annie.....she's a big girl and I just love her dress!

Before Christmas...I signed up for a Photography class at the college...and it's starts Tuesday...and it's every Tuesday until May. OMG....I haven't been on a school campus (besides for my kiddo) since High School!!!!!! Kinda freaking out! Sounds stupid huh? But I don't know what to expect. Do I need a notebook? Do I need a book bag? There is no book required for the class, so what will I possibly learn? Will this be a waste? Will it help me with my SLR camera? Or will it be mostly for the "point and shoot" cameras? Today while browsing through Barnes & Nobles, I found a book specifically for my camera....yippeee! So I snatched it up and reading it already. So anyway.... this stay at home mommy is gonna try and do something with herself now! Because I really LOVE my camera...and I've had quite a few people tell me that I "have an eye" for it! I Miss MISSY!!!!

It's been a long night...and a long day too! Missy's birthday is next week. The big 30!!!!! And since her birthday falls during the week...she's living it up tonight! She's out on the town! All last year...we talked big plans about what we were gonna do for her 30th birthday! We wanted to go to Vegas...that didn't work out....then we were gonna rent a beach house for both families...and well that didn't get worked out either! I wanted to be with her so bad....but for so many reasons I couldn't. But my heart is there! I've been calling her all afternoon "boo hoo-ing"! She's out with her friends...and I'm glad she's out! I'm just a wee bit sad...or as my son would say "jealous". But it's not jealous...just sad! I hope she's having a good time! Watch out for next week...I'm gonna post a special birthday picture of the birthday girl! Getting her back for doing it to me! hee hee!

On another note.....I am discontinuing selling Wool Hair on my website. So I am clearancing out some on my website. Good prices!!!! And I listed a ton of fabric on ebay! Please take a peek if you get a chance! And.....one more thing....I just finished up some dolls for orders...and I have 4 more that just need hair and accesorries.....then they will be on my website!!!! Shooting for tomorrow on that!

It's GRUNGE Time!

Yup....it's the middle of the month...and time for the GRUNGE side of Glitter & Grunge to update! Hop on over there and see what all the wonderful girls have for you!

I have also added a few new dolls over at Raggedy Old Annies. I am really inspired and in the mood to work right now so keep checking back....I'll be putting more and more new on! I lowered the prices of the Orphans too! Poor lil Christmas Annies, they didn't get a new home. Please help them out!

I hope that everyone is staying warm! We are having some really STRANGE weather here in California. Our pipes are freezing! I woke up at 4am this morning...and I had no water! Of course the first thing that went through my mind was...."OMG...did we pay the bill" LOLOL So I fire up the computer at 4am to check...and sure enough..of course it's paid. Then all the sudden I hear water pressure from the faucet outside. Almost like it was turned back on. I check the sink..and sure enough...we had water. Back to bed I went. In the morning SEVERAL hours later...everything was fine here, but our friends who live in the same sub-division but across the way had no water. FROZEN. And all day long..that's been the story all over town! It's just wierd! When we went to Michaels today....the parking lot leading up to the store had ice...I almost slipped flat on my butt! It was right in front of the store....and it was about 1pm by now...and they had one mopping sign to warn you...mind you it didn't pop out and warn me....but honestly.....by that time, they should have put something on it to break it up.....isn't it salt they use? Oh....and we had SNOW on Friday! Big huge flakes falling from the sky for about 20 minuntes.....of course...not sticking on anything...but what a sight! Of course...I wasn't  home...was at the doctors WITHOUT my camera! I was bummed! Ohwell....maybe next time....LOLOL It's been 2 years since it snowed here...and of course...I was not home that time either...I was up north with Missy doing a craft show!

"DREAM" Pennant Banner

I whipped this up the other night and had so much fun making it!!!! Here are some close-ups of each letter.

Each Pennant measures approx 7 x 4 1/2 and the whole banner is approx 38". This is perfect for a baby girls room, little girls room or a shabby bedroom! Each Pennant has different notions either handsewn on or machine sewn on. No glue is used except for gluing the glitter on. It's sweet. Even the back is finished so if you hang it in front of a mirror it will still look nice! I haven't put this on my website yet, because I haven't built a page for my new paper art....so until I get that done, I'll let you know, if you're interested....it is for sale. $38.00 including the shipping. Let me know what you think of it! I'd love to hear your feedback! I am fairly new to doing this paper art but am fully enjoying it!

I've been TAGGED!!!!!

I cannot beleive it!!!!! I'm so excited!!! I've been TAGGED!!! I've been seeing lots and lots of blogs doing this fun game! My best friend Missy got TAGGED and she TAGGED me! So now I have to think of 6 wierd things about myself and tell you! I asked my son if he thought there was anything wierd about me, and he asked why. I explained to him that it's a game and that I needed to post it on my blog and he said "oh no Mom! Don't do that, Missy's just playing a joke on you!". LOL He just doesn't get it!!! Okay...so here goes! And here are the rules for the people that I TAG! And for the people that I TAG, I'm sorry if you've been TAGGED before! I am VERY new to this BLOG world!

The Rules:Each player of this game starts with "6 weird things about you". Each person who gets tagged needs to write a blog post of their own 6 weird things as well as clearly state this rule. 6 Wierd Things About Me:

1. I prefer to eat ice cream with a plastic spoon, it just tastes better!

2. I WILL NOT eat any kind of meat off a bone. Thank goodness for Chicken Strips at KFC! When I was a kid, I do not recall eating there very much!

3. I CANNOT be around anyone brushing their teeth. It sends chills down my back and makes me gag and throw up! When I was preggo, I could barely get through brushing my own teeth without throwing up. It was an awful way to start the morning.

4. I always sleep on the left side of the bed. Doesn't matter where we are....hotel, new house... I NEED to be on the left side, and I always lay on my left side too.

5. I MUST wear socks to bed. Cannot go to bed barefeet or I wake up cold! Even in the summer!!!! I once knew a girl whos husband swore that wearing socks to bed could ignite a spark but that didn't scare me! Actually come to think of it...I wear socks 24/7 except in the shower! LOL Just this past summer I started wearing  flip flops.

6. This is the funniest! It's about my "phobia" and it's probably not appropiate but it's wierd! I cannot stand naked butts on any of my furniture!!!!! That means bedding too!!! It's just GROSS! Once when I was visiting Missy, I walked into the room where I was sleeping (her daughters room) and there sat Gracie (3 at the time) just outta the shower naked sitting bare butt on my pillow!!! OMG!! I totally freaked!!!! You'd a thought she wrote on my clothes with a black sharpy! From that day on, I took my pillow from the room in the morning and put it in Missy's sewing room! It's a big joke...my family totally teases me about it! Even my mom!

Okay...I did it! I'm a freak! I know! Christopher popped in to tell me...."mom, I know what you can put thats wierd"...."you're on the computer all the time!". I laughed and said "honey, thats not wierd. Thats normal life these days!"

Yes ..she can see all of you with those big ole eyes!!! Okay don't laugh, cause I just LOVE her! BTW.....check out Missy's blog.....she has a link posted about the show that she taped for That's Clever on HGTV. It is going to air again on Feb. 14th. I'll post again about it at a later date to remind ya'll. I cannot wait to see it again! I had taped it, but it somehow got taped over :( I was soooo sad...I wanted to cry! So I am taping it again...so that way when I "miss" Missy, I can just plop her in the VCR and waaalaaa....there she is! Yes, I'm still old school with a VCR. Even though my hubby is Mr. Electronic up to take with his spiffy Hi Def television...he keeps telling me "no" on TiVo, which I think is called DVR with the satelite company that I have. Something to do with because we have the Hi Def that the receiver will be costly. But I really don't want it on the family tv...I want it in my sewing room! So all you gals out there that get to "TiVo" all their favorite shows with just the touch of a button....you're lucky!!!!

A Make-Over for ROA

THANKS to my Best Friend Missy..... Raggedy Old Annies has received a make-over! Something that I have been wanting to do for a long time! I've always wanted a pink and black site, and ever since I created this blog, I have been wanting it more. Missy and I have been talking about it for a while now...and last night it just sorta happened...and she was so sweet about it. She stayed up till 1am with me working on the graphics for it....and what she really should have been doing is making bears for a show she has coming up! I wish I was closer to help her! Well, not with the bears...but anything else....cause bears is something that I have no desire to tackle! Anyway, the site still has a couple little things that need to be fixed or changed, but the important parts are there! Hope ya'll like it! Cause I LOVE it!
