Slowly unpacking.....

I went from a "sewing room" to a closet! No kidding! It's true! I still have like 6 boxes of stuff from my sewing room, and thats NOT including scrapbooking stuff, that I need to find a place for. And do I mind? NOPE! because I LOVE where I am and who I am with! So here is my lil space! this is the hall closet, and it already had shelves in it. PERFECT! can you see the cat checking it out?

 

and the master bedroom is HUGE! So I was able to set my sewing machine up on this cool old desk that was my grandmas! And I had this old small drop leaf table that my mom bought for me a few years back and that will work as my cutting table.

 

my currently MESSY desk is to the right, you can see the chair. This will all work....it will have too!

And since I'm showing you this...what does that mean? YUP! back to work!

 

so Mary.....and Sandra......yes...I'm working on your orders! Thank you so much for your patience while I moved! It was hard...because I had to stay back in Hemet for 2 weeks AFTER I moved because Christopher had school. I had my trunk full of EVERYTHING that I needed to work on...but I didn't feel right lugging it all out into my friends house! I already looked like I was moving in with our clothes! LOL

The boys (Christopher, Matthew & Scotty) are having a blast in the big yard.

Yesterday while BC was washing his big rig...they decided to tape a box to a skateboard and pull each other around the yard using 2 baseball belts tied to a bike. Didn't always end so well. But they had fun!

And Mr. Yummy himself was in heaven washing his truck in his own yard! This is what he wanted!!!!! This is what we looked for!!!! And it makes me so happy that I know he is just outside the door! As I was piddling around the house, I walked by the front window...and saw him out there up in the engine of his truck, baseball cap on backwards (super yummy)....and I ran for my camera! and I snuck out there...and took a few pics.

and he was quite the trooper as I kept the camera on him and kept snapping! I have some super yummy ones of him!!!! makes me miss him bad right now!

finally.....I have internet!

that is the worst thing about moving! Seems like I am always having to wait for internet! I was able to check my Facebook on Christophers iPod while I was staying at my friends in Hemet, but we couldn't catch onto any wireless here in Hesperia! Finally on Sunday, as I was trying to unpack things....I decided I was going to try and hook up the modem that Verizon had sent me. They told me I had to wait till my install day, which they keep changing...but I couldn't wait any longer! And woo hoo!!!!! BC and I figured it out! I haven't had much time to do much around here. Still back and forth from Hesperia to Hemet as Christopher still has school. I stayed with my friend Vanessa last week. This week I've been sorta driving back and forth (hour each way). I was feeling out of sorts.....and well...she has the FLU! That I don't want! And I'm sure she doesn't need me there while she's feeling like crapola! Poor Vanessa! I hope she feels better soon!!!!!

no pictures of inside yet. Everything is still pretty much in boxes, I haven't had too much time to unpack. I am going to try and get some stuff done today. I had to buy a new washer and dryer. that sucked! being that I just bought a new front loading set 2 years ago! but.....lost that in the divorce! Chose my big comfy bed over those! And you know how I always tell you that I have bad luck? yup. I can't even get something new and it work right! They bring the washer on Sunday, and they tested it....worked fine. So I start my new load...and I'm watching it fill up....and it seemed like it was getting too high...and sure enough...omg....overflow...over the drum top ALL OVER my laundry room floor! Turns out that the timer switch was no good. They came and took it right away.....but took some fighting to get them to bring me back another that same day! I had so much laundry to do! All is good now! Back to old school top loaders. But thats okay....I can get my laundry done quicker! Those front loaders take too long! LOL

okay...I'm outta her for now. C and I are sharing the ethernet cable...and he wants it for his xbox! LOLOL and I have some stuff to get done..and I want to figure out where I will be sewing! I do not have a sewing room in this house (which is fine) but I need to get things situated!

I did it.....

yup..it's a done deal! I have moved! My dad called late Friday...and asked if I wanted his help! We already had plans for Bruce and my brother to bring 2 trailers.....but heck....if dad is offering the BIG trailer...I'm in! So he showed up Sat morning and we were done by 10:30! That was a crazy busy day! I think we were offloaded by 1:30. then some organizing...then Bruce getting his stuff over there....and then showered and cleaned up to head back to Hemet for my friend Vanessa's 40th birthday! I couldn't miss that! I have no pics to share. My computer is not even hooked up! Okay..so scrap the old phone number! I had a forward put into it for 30 days...but when the ex set up his service...some how they let him keep the number...which wiped out my forward. Thanks Verizon! My new phone number is (760)948-4092.

Off to figure out whats for dinner. I'll post some pics when I can. I took some on moving day. C did also.

when everything is packed........

you have to use what you can. Ice cream is a must here! I love it. C loves it! And thankfully BC loves it just as much! So since everything is packed.....we thought plastic cups would do the job. And of course they worked just fine!

 

 

I'm super excited about moving! Looks like this Saturday is the day! I was up at the house today, needed to sign the rental agreement, then head over to the middle school and sign C up before they went out for summer break...hoping he won't get shoved into all the overflow classes....and hoping he'll get the elective he wants...which of course is band (drums). I think that I am packed. it looks like I am. just trying to clean up now. I really need to be working. I have a few orders.....and I'm sorry for those of you waiting....I'm really trying. I haven't forgotten! I promise! I'm trying to get most of my cleaning done tonight so I am get some work done on Friday. Only 2 more weeks of school for C! Since we are moving (out of town) before school ends.....C and I will be back down here staying with a friend during the week for the remainder of school. I have such wonderful friends here! I will MISS them so much! They have no idea how much!

So I'm back to cleaning! Have a great weekend! If you want you can come help load and unload on Saturday! JK! no one likes to move! Thankfully BC and my brother and their friend Jeff will be here to help!

it wasn't easy..........

no...it wasn't easy packing up my sewing room. for one thing...I have accumulated way too much stuff in the 6 years that I have been here! I remember when I first moved in, I took pictures of it and it looked so empty. Then it became way too cluttered....but I couldn't part with anything. Well........let's just say I have parted with ALOT in the last few days! My friend Gianna came and bought a bunch of stuff....and I also gave her a bunch of stuff.....and she asked me if I was sure...and was I going to regret it. well.....the truth is....maybe. But......in an odd kind of way, it feels GREAT! My living room is a complete mess! I have piled up everything and putting in there so that the rooms are empty and easy to clean up. wow...do I ever have ALOT of holes to fill. Especially in Christophers room and my sewing room! oh.....so let's see the sewing room as of last night. I still have some orders to do, so I had to leave out a lil bit of stuff.

 

And then here's the mess in the living room. seriously....do I need all this stuff? I told Bruce that he is going to freak out when he see's how much I need to move! I don't think that they make a trailer big enough! LOLOL

 

oh gosh....help me! I'm totally stressing out! I hate moving! If I move on the date that I hope to....that means that I am moving on the same day that I moved into this house...which is the same day I moved out of the previous house....and oddly enough..the same day I moved in that house. crazy!

well...I'm going to finish my Starbucks Mocha Frap...then I'm will go finish up something that needs to be done here....and believe me...there is alot! this place is a disaster...and I'm going crazy in it! I think I might just hop in the car and run away!

the rental house.......

well i did it.....i went and put the deposit down on that rental we found on Sunday. So excited! I've been running around like crazy. BC (bruce) has been out of town working, so I had to meet up with him in Fullerton to get his half....I was so tired driving home last night....because the night before I was up till 2am working on my Engish Presentation, which was my final...and it was due yesterday. Phew that is overwith. Then today I had to drive up to Hesperia to give the Realtor who is managing the property the cashiers check, that is after I had to take C to get more xrays....I had him there, xray'd and off to school before school even started! Thank god for late starting schools! Then off to the bank to get the cashiers check....then outta here up the hill to Hesperia! I made pretty good time! While I was up there, I snapped some pics of the house.....remember, it was a foreclosure that was bought to be fixed up...so the yard still needs some cleaning.

back to packing! And C wants to go to his baseball game tonight....he's really bummed he's not playing! so I thought it would be nice to take him. poor guy.

it's been a day.......

or shall we say a weekend? Well it sort of started last Wednesday night. C went out to play with some friends....on his scooter...and came back with scooter in hand.....said he fell and his wrist hurt. Now ya just never know. my first reaction was.....okay....what test is at school tomorrow that you want out of! LOLOL just kidding. no....I checked it out, looked it over...saw no swelling and told him to sit down for a bit...take it easy and rest. Of course...he got out of trash duty that night. darn him! He kept complaining...so we wrapped it with an ace bandage. At bedtime I snuck in there and took the bandage off. I was afraid I had it too tight. In the morning he complained of not sleeping well...throbbing etc. So we wrapped it again, sent him off to school but told him I would call the doc as soon as they open (not till 9am). So I did. Well...ended up picking him up from school, scooted over to xray, snapped those and then just brought him back home because he had PE, then Lunch, then band...and well NONE of those are good with a hurt hand/wrist. Doc office called just after their lunch, telling me he has a non-displaced fracture, get him in a splint, and that they have a call in for a referral to the orthopedic. Send him to school on Friday with with the splint. I called the doctor to see if they referral came in...hoping something before the weekend. Not so much. He was good about it all weekend. However I didn't give him much of a chance to do anything since we spent the whole weekend in a car looking for a rental! So this morning, I drop him off at school again. I drive over to the college for my class only to get a call from the doc with the referral and phone number. I call to make an appointment...she asked me several questions and then asks "can you have him here by 9:30?" It's 9:10 at this point. Um...yes I answer, let me go grab him from school. I speed over there....cause I was in yummy boyfriends hotrod (he left it here this weekend when we went to look for rentals)....and of course.....it takes forever and a day to get him out of class. we were late to the appointment, but I did tell her I would try my best. So after I bored you with all this.....yes......they did cast it! His 1st cast EVER!!!!!!!

 

he's not looking too thrilled....well, mostly because this meant he was done with baseball for the season. and if you know my kid....you will know that he LOVES baseball!

 

gosh darn he's so cute! Sorry....I'm his momma! I can say that! Okay...so crossing my fingers and hoping this all works out...because I think we found a rental home this weekend! We searched high and low only to find that everything we wanted was already rented.....and I'm super picky about where I want to live, schools matter and neighborhoods matter. I've had so many problems here with crappy teenage kids that I don't want to deal with that crapola again. So it looks like a go, I just need to get back up there to get the deposit in. The house isn't ready yet....it was a foreclosure and they are doing some stuff....omg..the kitchen is all brand new! sweet! So keep your fingers crossed for me! I want this to work!

oh..anyway so to finish off my day.......I missed my math class this morning...bummer...I really love that class and haven't missed one yet...but thats okay....C is way more important...but I did make it to my english class. Then after that get C from school...then we both had dentist appointments.....cleanings.....and then quick grocery store run after that....and now finally home.

I need to start packing. not fun! but I will try my hardest to work too! I just finished up some dolls. I already added them to my website. Here is a sneaky peaky of one.......

 

  

oh yes......

I am still here. Just popping in to let you know that...just in case anyone is still interested!I have been working on some orders....trying my best to get them done....I'm a bit slow these days...so if you're waiting.....thanks! My last bunch will be in the mail in the next few days!

This past Saturday I went with C and his band class to Disneyland. First stop though was in Placentia to perform in a competition. They did great. Then we boarded back on the bus...yes...can you beleive it...I rode the bus .....and headed off to Disneyland. We didn't get there till around 2:30....which leaves LITTLE time to get on many rides! ugh! Here is C on one of my favorite rides...LOL the tram going in! I always loved that part...as it was the excitement of being there! And I've always wanted the job of driving the tram, especially now since it's those cool new one seat cabs! Dang I wish I lived closer to DL!

 

anyway, so we broke up into groups....and I was assigned 8 other kids in my group. Um hello....I'm all by myself Mr. Teacher! This must be a typo! I mean, some of the other parents...who were there as couples had like maybe 3 - 4 in their groups...and those mostly consisted of their childs BFF's! I think there is a problem here! Apparently, the answer was, "I'm not sure, they all signed up for your group". Not sure why. Not one of them was a BFF of Christopher. None of his close friends are in the band with him. Do you have any idea how stressful it was to keep an eye on 8 kids at DL? Kids I didn't even really know? I was thrilled for the long lines on the rides...as that mean they were contained! Our school bands did GREAT! We received two 1st place trophys and one 5th place trophy. My lil one was in one of the groups that won the 1st place! woo hoo! That was a long day. We didn't get home until after 1am! Pooped I was!

I am so excited to tell you that I entered a contest for a free photography class, and OMG...I won! No way! Out of a ton of entries....I won! The instructor is Karen Russell. I absolutely LOVE her work! I visit her blog daily! I want to be JUST like her! is that okay? or does that make me wierd? anyhoo....You can visit her blog HERE and her Photography Class Website HERE. I am so excited! My photography is another thing I have slacked off on, and I'm crossing my fingers hoping this will be the kick in the butt that I need! and what is so awesome is that she gave me choices of class dates!!!!!! OMG...that couldn't have been any better! So I'm going for the September one, hoping this will give me enough time to be moved and settled. I think too, when I move, I might try a photography class at the college there too....different instructers teach different things right?

so moving....yes...I need to get that going asap! I've already started tearing apart the house. getting rid of things I don't want anymore. Like my primitive decor. Well what left I had of it...because I had slowly been doing that anyway. The sewing room needs to be downsized ALOT! as I won't have that luxary anymore. It was nice while I had it.....but I will be okay if I don't have it. I still need to find somewhere to move though! LOL Rentals are hard to find right now. and finding one in the right location is hard too! I have to think of good neighborhoods...and good schools! I am so scared, but also so very happy to be doing this. Change is good! And I need a good change right now...but what is going to be VERY hard is leaving all my friends here! They have been such a huge support for me!

I am going to end with this very cute pic of a man in my life that makes me very happy! Yes....i said it before...did you catch it? I have a boyfriend. did I shock you?  I'm quite suprised myself! The "love bug" just popped out and bit me in the butt! It happened on Super Bowl Sunday. Although I met him breifly in 2006 at a party (but he was too young for me then) and then again breifly in late October....and he was there at my brothers house on New Years Eve.....and he drank my favorite drink "midori sours" with me....and then the sparks flew during the football game on Super Bowl Sunday!(btw...he's still too young for me)! We haven't missed a day of talking ever since! he's very sweet to me.....and we are crazy about each other! He is the "beautiful mess" in my life and  I LOVE IT! If you have your music turned on...you'll hear that song played on here. Mr. Yummy himself picked that song out!

 

I'm sure he'll kill me for showing you this picture.....but it's one of my favorites! check out that cool vintage bike he is sitting on! That was his and his sisters when they were kids! I just LOVE it! But I love anything vintage!

I'll be back in a couple of days...finishing up some dolls now and I'll post the extras! And maybe some more sewing room stuff. I have a bunch of cookies cutters that need to go. Some red flannel and fur trim......oh so much more!

finally.....a little something

just as I started to type this post.....zzzzzz the power went out. not just my computer...the whole house...the whole neighborhood....and from what I understand the whole town. And it wasn't even hot today. well maybe a little, but certainly NOT like the past few days, which btw has given me the most horrible farmer tan ever! I refuse to wear a tank top. Just not a pretty sight on this old lady! And over the weekend, I was out in the heat all day both days. And then yard work yesterday. Seriously...I need to get over it and at least wear a tank top in the yard right? So today....I get over it...set out to wear a tank top, in fact, two of them, you know, that layered look? And what do I find? It's hazy out! sorta chilly...but a good chilly. whatever, i kept the tank tops on. and let me tell you, farmer tan looks GREAT showing....NOT! LOL I've been a bundle of nerves this week. First court date. That was different. Not private at all. Everybody who had court for that date was there sitting waiting...in the courtroom. Nothing like airing your dirty laundry for all to see. Christopher had a birthday this past weekend. He turned 12. Normally I post before and tell ya'll what we have planned, but this year was different. Gee...I wonder why? We had planned on going to Knotts Berry Farm. He's been begging to go there. He was going to miss a baseball game and all. but...in the end...he opted for a Wii instead. so off I went to purchase the Wii. But....that meant that now I had nothing planned for his actual birthday. I warned him of that. didn't want any dissapointment. He told me he knew. So we went to his game. It was hot. He was catcher...and played the entire game...behind the plate.

  

He even got game ball...on his birthday! How cool is that!

 

don't mind the blue teeth.....ring pop. so after that, we came home....and had intended on going to my boyfriends sisters daughters birthday party...but C was pooped out, and ended up napping. Now I'm feeling sorry for myself at this point! Some birthday I had planned for that boy! Just me and him alone..and he's sleeping! So I woke him up.....told him that we were going to dinner..and then a movie! I let him pick dinner.......

 

good choice...then we had some time in between dinner and movies so I took him shopping for some shorts...since it's getting so hot! Then off to the movies.....to see 17 again. CUTE MOVIE!

I did get some work done this week. And they are already up on my site! Actually finished putting them on just before the power went out. Man was I lucky! I am sure ya'll would have heard me screaming if I had lost it all! But....I'm pretty good about saving as I am going....as my last computer had a mind of it's own...and shut off all the time...for no reason at all! So here is a lil teaser.....

I'm hoping to start doing some more cleaning out in my sewing room. There is a big chance that C and I will be moving...and I really DO NOT want to lug it all with me! I just need to get with it and get pictures of it all! I wish ya'll could just come shopping in there! well not even shopping...just come gather up! If only it were that easy!

Here's the scoop.......

I bet you've been wondering about me? Sometimes I wonder about myself! ha ha! No seriously. Let me tell you why I have been away. My life is crazy changing right now. Don't worry. Not sad. Some might think it's sad, but sometimes good things come from bad. There is a divorce involved. And it happened months and months ago. We realized that we just grew apart years ago and have different plans on what each of us wanted in the future. Don't worry. I'm alright. I'm good...I'm great. And C is doing better. Tough at first. And there still are days where it's still tough...but we talk it out. Baseball just started for him....and he's really enjoying it! And well me.........I have GREAT supportive friends and I have a "beautiful mess" in my life right now....just like the song that plays here on my blog. There will be more news on that in the future! I don't want to throw everything at you at once! Just know that I am very happy.

I worked this past week! And I don't know why it has taken me days to get these cuties listed on my website! I think I finished them Monday! But school is a lil distracting too. Oh and btw....school....LOVE my math class! I never realized how fun math can be when you KNOW what you are doing! It's like a puzzle. And I love puzzles!!!!! Anyway, back to the dolls! There are a few on the website. And I must apologize for having literally NOTHING on there for you to view! I'm changing that! I already have a bunch more started! Here is a sneak of what I put on the website.

 

There is some BAD NEWS for one of the dollies that left my house a couple weeks ago! My friend Gianna called me up in a crisis!!! She said there was "doll drama" at her house...and she needed to bring her over to the doll doctor for repairs! hmmmm...what could have happened. You won't beleive this! Poor thing! I know that Gianna was crying! LOLOL

 

I don't think that there is much repair here. That is some major surgeory! I told her I'd just make a new body! All this is thanks to one of her doggies! I would have died coming home to this!

Okay I'm off to work on some housework...then into the sewing room! or maybe homework. nah..homework can wait!
